In one review it said you used this pump to clean your tankless water heater. My owners manual says to flush at 400 gph, and this unit puts out much more than that. Is there a way to regulate the flow?

can this pump be used for outdoor pond- waterfall?

Yes. If your goal is to reduce or remove water from your pond this is the only pump you'll ever need. You won't regret buying this pump. I'm surprised it did not cost more.

Will this pump drain a bathtub by pushing the water out of the bathroom window? The window is six feet above the bottom of the tub.

Asked by: kiwi
Although I haven't tried this, I believe the answer to this question is in the specifications for all the pumps, which you can view when you look at the pump online. I do believe 6 feet isn't too high for it to work, but you should check the specs.

When I'm using this to pump water out of my kiddos 150 gal pool I'd like to put a wand attachment onto the hose so i can water my garden with it....

is this possible to do and if not would there be an attachment I could use on it to allow me to use it as needed on my garden? Any recommendations greatly appreciated.....
Asked by: owlminds
This particular pump is a water mover and doesn't build much pressure. I don't know what pressure is required to run a wand but from personal experience I have found it won't work. The only attachment I know that will work is the old fashioned way by using your thumb on the hose end to make the spray. That does work.

I decided to buy a pump because our back house, which is apparently lower than the other buildings on the property, and has a slab foundation, got soaked floors when we had that day of heavy rain a short time ago because the water level got a few inches high along the foundation and apparently was as high as the slab. We hadn't had so much rain for a very long time. I decided that next time I'd be prepared. Although it hasn't rained that hard again yet, the water did build up a few days ago around the outside of the house enough for me to use my new pump. It worked like a charm. I only had to use it for a couple of minutes to get rid of the build-up. It has plenty of power. It was easy; there's no set-up required other than connecting/directing the hose and plugging it in. I placed it on a metal plate to avoid mud/debris getting inside. No problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Utility Pump I bought this pump to remove accumulated rain water from my empty pool. I was very pleased with the cord length & overall pump construction. The water flow was as advertised & the pump ran smoothly & was relatively quiet. I expect to use the pump frequently & will report on it again in about 6 months.

I liked that it didn't have a float, floats don't work well when it's a foot of less of water. 3. had it a month but used it for three days. 4. yes the expectations for a 1/5 HP is meet. low flow but it gets the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good pump for our waterfalls Our last pump burned out after many years when its hose became kinked. We tried two others before this -- one too weak and the other too forceful for our small falls. This one is perfect. It arrived within a week of ordering and has been working beautifully.
