The model I purchased had only four tabs mot six. The back two tabs had to be ground down a bit to clear the toilet. To avoid excessive grinding I also so ground the plastic flange to allow the ring to bias forward 1/4" to further help with clearance. Four #14 pan head screws did the trick, screwed into the sub floor. Way easier than replacing the flange.

I had a toilet on the second floor that wobbled. The toilet was replaced with a new low flush one and it still wobbled. After months of trying tighten the floor bolts, I decided to take the toilet off. Low and behold, the abs flange was not only broken but it was shifting around despite being embedded in the floor tiles. I bought the super ring and placed it over the existing broken and moving flange. I drilled new holes and used concrete screws to secure the Super Ring to the floor. I inserted my new toilet bolt set along with a new wax ring under the toilet. Secure as ever. This prevented the expensive repair of cutting and gluing a new flange underneath the subfloor.

As the other poster stated, the ears on the ring did not allow the new toilet to set over the ring, and flush to the floor. So luckily there was a plumber that lived a few doors down. He also cut the ears off, and just ran the tap con screws right through the existing closet flange. By the way the plumber told me they are not allowed to use these on jobs, only replace the closet flanges. Most likely a monetary thing I'm sure. As he was impressed as to the quick fix this super ring provided.

This is a pretty good product that will bail you out of an expensive toilet flange repair bill but it's not without fault. Once installed, the outer rings would not allow the toilet to seat down properly on the wax gasket. I had to cut them off with a hacksaw but after this 'mod' it worked like a charm. Saved me from having to bust out my basement ceiling and cut the ABS to attach a new flange.
