Bought this product and was surprised to learn that IF it contains Peanut Oil, it doesn't cook as such. The Oil never got over 280' and Peanut Oil cooks best at 320/325.. The turkey deep fryer cooked the bird but did't cook the skin. I have been doing the deep-fry thing for 15 years and never experienced the lack of performance from an oil. I researched the box and must have missed the breakdown of Deep Frying Oil and Peanut Oil. There isn't enough Peanut Oil to do the job. I couldn't find what kind of oil is in the mix...Deep Cooking oil is ???. Probably vegetable oil. Really disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peanut Oil Blend, but works fine! The only difference between this and using pure peanut oil is the smoke point of the oil. As long as you don't get this oil hotter than about 425F, you'll have no problems and your turkey will taste just as good. My best results have been achieved when the oil is about 360-370F.

However, even in simply frying a 13lb turkey, it was just a bit short on the oil. I would recommend them to have a 4lb size or 3.5 might be enough too. I had to go buy an extra gallon of peanut oil to make sure my bird was fully submerged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great oil with great flavor This oil was great. I fryer the turkey with ease. The oil didn't smoke, left a great taste and left the bird with a golden brown color. Sorry that there is no place to put a picture.
