I just used this on indoor wood stairs. I did first strip off as much of the old paint as possible, then sanded and cleaned the stairs with TSP. The paint went on very nicely after that. This is very thick stuff and the anti-slip stuff does work wonders on wood stairs.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good stuff! The coating was easy to use and conservative in the amount of coverage per gallon. Price was not bad. Cleanup with water was easy and quick. Overall, I could not be happier with it. I used the coating on the slanted part of an entrance ramp over treated deck boards. The gray color provides a good contrast and there is no concern with my elderly mom slipping while walking down the ramp. Seems to be holding up in the weather very well and I had enough left over (covering 36 sq ft - two coats) to pass it on to my neighbor, in fact I barely used any out of the gallon can. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Great on indoor Wood Stairs! I bought this to paint my indoor basement wood stairs after pulling carpet off them. They were very slick so after researching many products, I found this paint and it worked and looks great! Went on easily, though we did sand and then clean them well prior to painting. The anti-slip coating I did have my doubts about but this product had rave reviews so I figure it was worth a shot. Very thick stuff but since the wood surfaces were so uneven in some areas, I put on 2 very thick coats and so far it's holding up well. Please note, it's only been 1 month but so far so good. Very happy with the way this went on smoothly and looks, pricey but worth every penny!!! February 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Concrete anti slip paint Easy to apply and will work great for what I want . Just wanted to paint garage floor so not slippery looks great. February 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great after two coats, but doesn't last as long as we hoped Originally painted around our pool with the grey pearl three years ago and was hoping not to repaint for several more years, since it looks so beautiful once finished. Unfortunately it didn't last as long as I would have wanted (because of staining and fading) and had to repaint it again this year, but hoping this time around it will last longer than 2-3 years. Also, painted the coping around the pool in white, but because it's a tintable paint, all the leaves and tree debris that sits on the white paint too long begins to stain the white color and then quickly looks dirty. The company's clear paint claims it helps against the staining, which seemed to help somewhat when we used it three years ago, but does ultimately get dirty after time. I wish there was a very strong white concrete paint or even clear coating that has a stronger anti slip and stain resistant finish that doesn't yellow the white paint color and won't stain after about a year. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great paint Goes on great. Very thick but goes a long way. Only had it applied for a couple of months but still holding up well. December 29, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DISAPPOINTED Based on the reviews, I had high hopes. ►I just finished painting my patio with this GUNK, and it looks terrible! Every single brushstroke shows. ► I started the project using a roller, which splattered and left bare gaps. I had to go over the area several times to fill them in. ►Reviewers say it went on smoothly, but for me it was anything BUT a smooth application. ►I changed to a brush, and it did go on smoother with that but took two more coats. And the end result is an eyesore, with every brushstroke leaving its GRITTY mark ►Not sure how to fix it, but it drives me nuts every time I look at it, so I will have to figure out some way to camouflage it. August 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good for patios Better value than the product used previously. Nice color (gray) December 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly surprised After many years of using a specific concrete paint, I decided to use sure step. I was surprised to see how well it covers, how far it can spread and the color is great! The test will be after the winter months and all the rain we've had to see if any cracking or chipping takes place. For now, I recommend this product! November 10, 2015
