We only power washed old concrete patio. Let it dry and two days later put on second coat. Let it dry 48 hours. Just finished this week so do not know how it will hold up but love how it looks. Used three gallons.

Answer:
It depends on your surface. On my raw wood, I power washed then let fully dry, then applied an exterior oil based primer. On cement I used the cement cleaner and applied with an old broom, washed off well with water, let dry fully, then applied the coating. Also masked off brick on house with painters tape to keep it clean.

I just used this on indoor wood stairs. I did first strip off as much of the old paint as possible, then sanded and cleaned the stairs with TSP. The paint went on very nicely after that. This is very thick stuff and the anti-slip stuff does work wonders on wood stairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier I use on my wood porch and my cement front stairs. The wood porch was raw wood, so I needed oil based primer. Cement stairs were painted so used a cleaner first. It has been 2 months with lots of rain and neither has chipped or pealed. The cements stairs were very slippery when wet and now they are very stable. Very happy with this product. Make sure you have the rough texture roller and it took 2 coats on each.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff! The coating was easy to use and conservative in the amount of coverage per gallon. Price was not bad. Cleanup with water was easy and quick. Overall, I could not be happier with it. I used the coating on the slanted part of an entrance ramp over treated deck boards. The gray color provides a good contrast and there is no concern with my elderly mom slipping while walking down the ramp. Seems to be holding up in the weather very well and I had enough left over (covering 36 sq ft - two coats) to pass it on to my neighbor, in fact I barely used any out of the gallon can.

It is gray but lends itself to a little blue-er tone. (just a little) It is definitely non-stick. It has a bit of sand? in the paint, which makes it not slippery. We etched it first, the put 2 coats on after (with roller). Went on very nice and thick. Nice to work with. It has only been a month since we did so hope it lasts a long time.

It seams to have fixed the problem. It has been down four weeks now and I have just started parking my car on it. The Sure Step web site said it is not recommended for garage floors, so we will see.
