Answer:
We only power washed old concrete patio. Let it dry and two days later put on second coat. Let it dry 48 hours. Just finished this week so do not know how it will hold up but love how it looks. Used three gallons.

Answer:
It depends on your surface. On my raw wood, I power washed then let fully dry, then applied an exterior oil based primer. On cement I used the cement cleaner and applied with an old broom, washed off well with water, let dry fully, then applied the coating. Also masked off brick on house with painters tape to keep it clean.

I just used this on indoor wood stairs. I did first strip off as much of the old paint as possible, then sanded and cleaned the stairs with TSP. The paint went on very nicely after that. This is very thick stuff and the anti-slip stuff does work wonders on wood stairs.
I would at the very least sand and clean them so the paint will stick nicely otherwise you may not get good, even coverage. Wood stairs Read More

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loved this product Yes, easy to apply with recommended roller. Good coverage. Received lots of positive comments from my neighbors. Dries quickly . I painted my front porch and sidewalk and back patio with 2 gallons . My daughter helped and we were done in about 2 hrs. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product A little thick but is easy to roll, I purchased two gal. and only used one. I have enough left over for my garage floor. I used the first gallon on my front steps it looks good, it covered all the imperfections. Time will tell how this holds up.. So far so good.. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sure-Step Producy I recently purchased 2 gallons of this product and I could not be happier with the results. It applied easily and made my front porch look great. June 24, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made old concrete pretty Went on easy with little mess. Nice gray blue color. June 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Couldn't be happier I use on my wood porch and my cement front stairs. The wood porch was raw wood, so I needed oil based primer. Cement stairs were painted so used a cleaner first. It has been 2 months with lots of rain and neither has chipped or pealed. The cements stairs were very slippery when wet and now they are very stable. Very happy with this product. Make sure you have the rough texture roller and it took 2 coats on each. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good stuff! The coating was easy to use and conservative in the amount of coverage per gallon. Price was not bad. Cleanup with water was easy and quick. Overall, I could not be happier with it. I used the coating on the slanted part of an entrance ramp over treated deck boards. The gray color provides a good contrast and there is no concern with my elderly mom slipping while walking down the ramp. Seems to be holding up in the weather very well and I had enough left over (covering 36 sq ft - two coats) to pass it on to my neighbor, in fact I barely used any out of the gallon can. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very good it cover more areas than I though The product is very easy to apply, it covers more areas than I expected. i return three extra cans back to store May 25, 2016
