Can you use a Wagoner spray gun with this paint? Or, is it too thick?

Asked by: Jim
This coating is much too thick for any sprayer. Your best method is a 3/4" to 1" nap roller.

Sealing concrete before painting

(Clear Seal brand Satin Concrete Protective Sealer) Would this be a sealer I could use before applying Sure Step to the concrete around my pool?
Asked by: Dan
This is only a finish. You will need a proper sealer before applying this product.

Not much here on directions for application. Is there an ideal temperature range required for the application ??

This product was applied in my business location in relatively cool temperatures, definitely below 70 degrees for example. Several days later, in an effort to clean some marks / spots on the floor, with a damp rag and very little pressure...the paint smeared and peeled free from the floor.
Asked by: Rick1984

Will this also act like coolcrete and not be so hot as regular cement

Asked by: Monique
No, the paint does not act like coolcrete and keep the ground cool.

Would this be good to put down on a basement concrete floor that I then would put carpet tiles on?

Asked by: Bill

Can you use this on existing paint without sanding, would it still give nice finish? It's hard to remove old paint.

Asked by: Ahmad
Yes you can. If existing paint is darker you may need to apply two coats of new paint. Take that in consideration when purchasing the amount of paint needed to complete the project.

This product is a winner, hard to find since HD stores stopped carrying it in store. Can only purchase on line now. I have been using it on pool deck, steps & outdoor patio for 5 years. Easy to apply, never peals or blisters....hose it down weekly and use a brush with mild dawn soap if stubborn stains . Just reapplied after 2 1/2 years to brighten color. Great product for value & durability

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! This worked perfect for my project. Used on my old linoleum floor to prevent dog from sliding and falling. I "dabbed" it on using crumpled paper creating a Pollock like granite pattern and blew gold and silver glitter on for realism. It dried fast enough that I could section off places from the dog. I used a similar gray product in the past but it eventually wore off. The sand color noticeably lightened the entire room and it looks great! THANKS!

The amount of grit in the product makes it very difficult to clean or sweep. Im sure its great in the right application, but I didnt like it for a garage floor. I also would not use it around a pool. In severe areas that need real anti slip features, this would be appropriate. I also didnt like the way it rolled out. The roller marks were very apparent.

Second coat is not identical to first coat in terms of look - there are clear roller marks to be seen. the only way for the second coat to have no blemishes is to completely recover the first coat. I have a 2 1/2 car garage and it has taken 3 gallons

It goes on great, too, but if I had it to do all over again I would have bought a darker color because it is very difficult to clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my project Probably not recommended by manufacturer. I used this on my old linoleum kitchen floor to prevent my dog from slipping. It worked PERFECTLY, looks great and dried super quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Painted a large concrete patio. We were tired of how slippery it was with wet feet so bought this product for the look and non-slip promise. Day 1, power washed and patched, many hours later rolled on 1st coat. Next morning rolled on 2nd coat. A surprise thunderstorm with heavy rain came through about 4 hours later...too nervous to see what would happen...so we went to a movie! Next morning the patio looked great! Still does a week later. Love the non-slip and feels fine with bare feet. Live in the Midwest so hope it stands up to winters too, very satisfied thus far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sure Step Concrete Paint is excellent product After a long agonizing search for a paint to refurbish my swimming pool deck without enamel in the mix, I decided to bite the bullet and give Sure Step a go.May 10, 2012 was the big day. With my son's help we applied the paint to the deck. I waited the recommended 24 hours before cautiously taking the first steps on the deck. No problems! Yeah. I waited a week before setting the table, chairs and lounges on the deck to give time for the paint to dry thoroughly. The recommended time was 72 hours. No problems! Yeah. The paint goes on well with a long hair roller and I brushed the paint on the expansion joints. The only tip I have is to buy at least half again more paint than recommended for the area you want to cover. I was putting it over textured Cool Deck and that may have been the reason for more paint being used. But, I surely wouldn't take a chance on running out if you have a very large project. You can send any excess gallons back. The company sends a return shipment label and contact name with the product. We applied one coat and the coverage was fantastic. I will use this product again the next time my deck needs repainting. It is non-slip, which is what you need for a pool deck. The color is a bit lighter than the computer sample, but it is pretty and I really like it. I definitely would recommend this paint for a pool deck or porch.
