Actually, there is nothing that I can find that might rust on this tub. There is no metal involved.

Nothing on the tub is metal, only steel legs/levelers.

Answer:
If the legs are subjected to wet conditions, I suspect they may rust over time. This depends on placement and environment conditions as with any metal surface being subjected to moist conditions. This could easily be resolved by keeping any metal areas dry or spraying them with a rust resistant paint.

Answer:
The only metal parts are the leg mounts and the leveling feet. They both have hard finishes and may last OK - I live on the ocean and this is set up in the carport, so I shall see!

Answer:
Swan's MF-2F double bowl laundry tub does not include the drain pipe/connectors to join the separate drains into the waste pipe. This would need to be purchased separately at your local Home Depot store.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by REPLACEMENT LAUNDRY TUB IS GREAT My handyman installed the new laundry tub after demolishing the ugly old cement tub that leaked. The new tub is lightweight, clean, and just overall great. It makes the laundry corner in my basement a lot brighter. July 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great sink Placed the order online and picked up in the store. We placed this utility sink in our garage next to the washer and dryer. The tub is nice and deep. Easy to install and the height of the tub can be adjusted easily. The pieces for the pipe is cheap so we replaced that with some better ones from home depot. It does not come with a faucet, so we installed a delta pull out faucet. I believe this product will last a long time. May 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Solution for labor intensive task! Saves my back, precious time and my horses' life! I was in need of a quality, deep double sink for my utility stall in my barn. Having a horse that is insulin resistant, all her hay must be soaked for several hours then drained to remove the high sugar content. This is a very labor intensive task especially during these frigid and stormy winter months in New England. This Veritek Double Deep Bowl Laundry Sink has been the perfect solution! No plumbing hook up was needed as I have a hot and cold water source right next to the sink's placement. My husband added 2 x 4's around the leg base perimeter so I have the ability to move it outdoors in the summer time. He added rolling casters to the bottom of the boards and I can lock them in place for added stability. Sturdy, very deep, wide bowls that have stood up to the daily task of soaking large quantities of hay during sub-zero temperatures! I couldn't be more pleased with this Veritek Double Sink! Quality made and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend! If it can stand up to the rigors of what I'm putting it though on a daily basis in a unheated barn this winter, you won't regret purchasing this sink for whatever your needs may be for your home. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy sink but issues with the drain plugs and installation instructions. The directions were a little hard to understand and for that reason it took a long time to install this sink. It came with a white washer in the drain plugs, but you weren't supposed to use it in the installation, which was not completely clear from the directions. Also, make sure when you install the drain plug you put a lot of silicon not only under the flange of the drain plug, but also underneath the sink as well. It leaked twice before I figured that out and fixed it. Also, the water pools around the drain after it has completed draining so it never completely drains all the water. Outside of those things, it's a nice sink. It is pretty sturdy and the leveling legs are real nice to be able to level it and anchor it securely. I built a wooden platform to install it on and it feels nice and sturdy. March 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Swan Double Bowl Laundry tub Although more expensive than two other double bowl laundry tubs offered by Home Depot, the Swan has steel legs which bolt to the fibreglass tub, and levelers for the legs. The legs, bolts and levelers are all sturdy, and appear to be corrosion resistant. The tub also comes with the fittings for the two drains and a shared trap. The least expensive one offered by Home Depot has plastic legs which are supposed to be pushed into plastic slots, but they do not stay attached. Also, no levelers. I therefore returned the cheaper one carried by the local store and went with the Swan. which i ordered online from Home Depot,. One minor iritant: the two holes for the faucet were not drilled out May 1, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall, good replacement tub Good sturdy tub, economical. Installation difficulty is ENTIRELY dependent on your water supply and drain configuration! I was redoing copper supply lines and connectors, along with having to put together a down tube, trap, and drain line, which made it quite fun....nothing to do with the tub though! There are NO factory INSTALLED drains and the faucet holes are NOT drilled out as others have noted. Also, the plastic drain parts that connect to the tub drains underneath are quite cheap, and leaked...had to get some better PVC parts from the store. July 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great, sturdy tub We installed this double tub yesterday, and amazingly, it went in with ease by two do-it-yourselfers. We chose to install a trap under it, to make it easier to snake out the lines if they became plugged in years to come. We drain into a deep basement sump hole and then up out of the basement into a dry well. We also purchased the faucet, which is a true laundry tub faucet with an extended spout to reach both tubs, and a threaded end to attach a garden hose if necessary. The tub comes with parts for the double drain, in 1-1/2 inch PVC pipe. After installing the 1-1/2 trap, we upped the PVC to 2" pipe for the actual drain into the sump. The tub itself is very sturdy, easy to clean, and good looking. We are very pleased with our purchase. May 15, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good double sink in garage Bought to replace an old cement double sink in our garage. Our facets are wall mounted so didn't need to drill holes. The legs were easy to attach. My washing machine drains in to this sink and there hasn't been any problems. We did have to alter the plumbing/p-trap as the drain holes weren't exactly where the old sinks were. It will be much more sanitary and cleanable than that old cement sink. July 15, 2014
