This wall installs easily over an existing tub. We mounted to the studs. It looks wonderful and is very easy to clean. The only issue we had was with shipping which was late and the wall wasn't packaged into the box very well. This is our second stud to wall enclosure. We also installed a shower wall with base. Both are just beautiful and seamlessly perfect! Much better then tile. I save the tile for external tub bathroom use.

We've only had the new tub and surround for a few days, but we like them so far! Our contractor said it was easy to install, though they hadn't seen a surround with shelves on both ends before. No grout needed to seal the seems, so hopefully the built-in drainage system works really well. Clean lines, the tub feels big and secure - we are totally happy!

I researched many different types of tubs & wall surrounds and decided on this one. I was very happy with the quality. It was very sturdy and packed securely to avoid shipping damage. Once the wall studs were prepared, the install was a breeze. Everything lined up and went together perfectly. I've been using it for about a month now, and I'm very happy with the product.

Wasn't too difficult to install, I purchased the tub that goes with it and the hardest part was smashing out the old cast iron tub. I measure twice and made the template like the instructions advised and the holes for the existing faucet and handles worked out fine. We were back showering in no time.

I had a 40 yo tile-on- waterproof sheet rock bath fall apart and needed to fix it. I looked at the available options and decided to go with the Swan 'direct to stud' set.
At 76 yrs I'm not as fast as I used to be, so the tear out was the worst part of the job. I was also concerned about how it would fit on the cast iron tub that was there.
Once I got the area cleaned up and the existing drywall trimmed away, my wife(32) and I had no trouble putting the pieces in place.
I chose to cover the surrounding areas with 4 1/2" w strips of 1/4 tempered hardboard(from HD), and finished the job with a custom tinted paint(also from HD) that matched the existing wallpaper.
The wife loves it, and once the calking dried, we took a shower, and everything felt firm and secure.
I plan on getting another one for the other bath. A good, cool weather project for us.
The only thing I would recommend changing, is to put a dab of adhesive on each of the 6 attaching clips so that they don't fall off when attaching the side to the back panel.

Ordered this few months ago along with matching tub. Walls came in with no problem. Tub was cracked. Returned and ordered two more hoping that one would be in good condition. 2 weeks later both tubs came in cracked, again. Store manager was very apologetic and wanted to make something work. This wasn't Home Depot's fault but the manufacturer. All tubs were sent with no packing for protection, just a card board box. We kept the walls and found a tub that we made work even though it took a bit of extra work and extra time.
The walls look great and have lots of room to hold shower needs.
I emailed Swanstone Customer service but never heard back.

Looks great, color matches other brand of tub. Not too hard to install, with two persons. Second unit was ok to install. First one had to be sent back, for damages. Should be packaged better at factory.
