IS THE SURROUND PLAIN AND SMOOTH

It is very, very hard to see the surround online. One of the reviews mentions the surround has the appearance of tile. Is that true?
Asked by: jane
We appreciate your question concerning the SS-72-3 tub wall kit. Unfortunately, the previous review must have mistakenly been attached to an incorrect product. The wall panels for this unit are completely smooth and do not have a tile pattern molded-in. The matte finish is easy to clean and maintain with common household cleansers. Thanks for considering a Swan product for your home!

30 in. x 60 in. x 72 in. 3-piece Easy Up Adhesive Tub Wall in White is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tub surrround These sheets are easy to cut and install. You will need 2 people as the back wall piece is heavy and cumbersome. I used loc-tite zero second cure adhesive and didn't need any bracing. I couldn't be happier. I have cut and dry fitted the trim kit and will install it today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reviewer Brenden is mistaken Reviewer Brenden is mistaken in his review. He states the Swanstone soaked up water at the edges. That is impossible with this product as it is impermeable to water. I am pretty sure what he has installed in his bath is tileboard or some sort of compressed MDF product with a tile like surface. Not a solid surface material like Swanstone, which could be submerged in water for years and not soak up any water or have any deterioration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product! Product arrived quickly via truck and was well packed. The Swanstone is a very nice "corian-type" product. We went with the white which was a great deal at HD. I have never worked with this type of material before but it wasn't too bad. You will definitely want to use carbide tools, but with them, it cut easily. It wore metal jigsaw blades out rapidly. The product looks very nice installed and should be breeze to maintain. The instructions supplied were very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is of excellent quality and we are extremely pleased with our bathroom remodel project. The bathroom tub walls that we replaced were very yellowed from age and use. By improving and remodeling the bathroom with the Swanstone walls we chose, the entire room has been modernized and updated. We added new fixturing for the tub, also a new bathroom basin was installed and the result was a great transformation to an integral part of our home. It is truly a great experience to see the change in our bathroom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not hold up This product had been installed just before I bought the house. It actually looked very much like real tile except on the edges. The edges soaked up water over time. Also, many small cracks formed and there also began to soak up water. If you use this product, make sure to seal all edges very well and follow the care instructions closely to limit forming of cracks and scratches. It looked like tile for only a few months and then started to look like wet paper.
