Yes, you can under-mount this sink. It is considered a "dual mount" sink and can be dropped into your counter top or mounted underneath counter top materials such as granite, solid surface or tile. Pretty easy, the sink instructions should tell you what size hole saw to use and how to do it. I cut one on my sink and it only took a few minutes.

Answer:
Don't drill. Just support the sink on wood 2x4's and use a hammer + 3/8" punch to knock out the predrilled holes from the top down. Chip around the circle edges to achieve your finished circle. Look at a YouTube video maybe and be patient. You can do it.

The title says granite but several times in the description it says it's quartz. Which is it? They are not the same thing.

Answer:
Swan's "granite" kitchen sinks are compression molded under high heat and are comprised of 80% natural quartz stone combined with resins for extreme strength and heat resistance. The term "granite" is rather an industry standard for this type of sink material. These sinks have a matte finish and are a complement to any counter top material although they are not shiny like a granite counter top.

I'm not certain what it is made of. Go to the store and check out this model or similar to confirm. Regardless, we installed a couple years ago and it looks great - no complaints. I'd buy it again if we needed another one!

Large/Small Dual Mount Drop-in Granite 33 in. 1-Hole Double Bowl Kitchen Sink in Nero is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sink I Have Ever Owned After looking at a lot of sinks, we settled on this one because we LOVED the look in the store. It was even prettier when it arrived. It was packaged very well and in perfect condition. Great instructions. Once it was in the counter we knew we made the perfect choice. I love the size of the large basin as well as the lowered middle separator. I can now wash a whole sheet pan at once! No more washing half of it and then turning it, washing the other half, etc. I also love the design at the top, it makes the sink feel so much larger than my other one, even though it takes up the exact same space in my counter. I feel like I have twice as much sink. It is also very easy to keep clean. This sink is not only one of the prettiest sinks I have seen, but it is so very functional. I have received so many compliments on this sink. Who knew people paid so much attention to the type of sink in a kitchen? Well, they do. I am so very happy with this purchase.

Ordered it in black and was worried about it showing spots. No such thing. Once a month, I coat it with regular cooking oil, using a paper towel. This brings back the sheen. I always hated stainless steel sinks because they show wear so fast. This has lasted for a year now and is still beautiful. Great product.

Had to bend the brackets that hold it in the counter because they were for thicker countertops (we have granite). The only difficulty was drilling the hole for the soap dispenser. We needed to buy a diamond tipped hole saw bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sink, durable and very deep! It was somewhat difficult to drill the holes but it worked in the end. After a week or so, it does start to get a white deposit mark from our well water..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't realize what I was missing until I went granite This really is a great sink. The room it has is its best feature. With this sink I'm able to stack a good amount of dishes on the left side without it being so obvious I have dirty dishes. I really like the look of the lower, slightly curved compartment separator. When you first walk in the kitchen it looks as if you have one large sink, very modern and unique. Some reviews said that people actually liked doing dishes after they got this sink. I was pretty skeptical about this but I do find myself wanting to say the same thing. The sink is very easy to clean and looks great with the Pfister faucet we also picked out at Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from one thing This sink is wonderful and it looks great with the new counters. One thing is missing. Please consider adding the option to purchase the 1 1/4 " diamond bit hole saw that is needed to cut out additional holes. There are pre drilled area for cut outs but.....the only hole saw I could find in 3 different stores was a 1 3/8 ". It worked for our purpose, but will not work for all. I would gladly have purchased the hole saw with the sink if I had been given the option. It would have saved a lot of time and aggravation. Home Depot should also carry this size hole saw

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous sink! I was a little wary ordering this sink online since I didn't see it in store, but I am glad that I took the plunge. The right side is smaller and not as deep as the left but it works great for my family. The disposal is connected to the right side and so all the food gets dumped there and the dishes go in the left side and there's still room to wash or rinse everything off. I had a shallow sink before this so the 10" deep left side is amazing. I am not a "cleaner" by nature but this sink and my new faucet make it a pleasure to clean up. I really love this sink. And it wasn't too hard to install. We put the clips on and made sure they were secure (tapped in the plastic on both sides and made sure they were all the way in the sink mounting) and a bead of caulking around before lowering the sink into the hole in the countertop. I think it looks great and works even better. Now we just have to finish the backsplash and floors and our kitchen remodel will be finished!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Sink This product is top notch and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a dark colored sink. One of the problems I had was finding a couple flanges that I liked as I didn't want gloss black. I ended up finding flat black ones which look great. I installed this with the help of my father and the install was fairly easy outside of using the small clips for the top mount. I'd definitely recommend a long screwdriver to assist and an extra pair of hands. Note, I'd recommend putting your disposal on the shallow side as I struggled with this decision at first but ultimately I am glad I did.
