First of all, let me just say that I found this sink on the expensive side and there were lots of sinks i though were comparable. but alas, i loved the matte finish of this sink (i think it's corian?) and I just had to have it. It was easy to install, and offers sweet relief from the contemporary glass bowl sinks that tend to dominate the vessel sink market. really, no other sink would do. I paired it with the 37 in. W Marble Vessel Top with Drain Hole and EZ Punch Faucet Hole Drillings in Carrara and the Montaigne 37 in. W x 22 in. D Open Vanity Cabinet Only in Weathered Oak, and I'm very happy with results.

Like Leslie in Guam, we purchased this particular sink for its fine styling and finish. When I installed it a month ago, we discovered that water splashes out of the bottom of the sink when you open the drain to empty a bowl full of water. The sink is manufactured in two pieces - a large "casting" and a smaller drain piece that encircles the drain pipe and provides an outlet for the clear plastic overflow tube. That smaller drain piece is hot glued or caulked into the bottom of the much larger "casting;" see the photo with my finger pointing at the piece on the bottom of the sink. I had to pump water-proof tub and sink caulking into the crack above the clear plastic tube. I hope that seals it for the life of the sink.
Another problem is that a 2 inch square patch that looks like tape adhesive is discolored and on the back right corner of the sink. It is unsightly. It came out of the package that way. Scrubbing has not removed it.
While I appreciate the styling and materials, I am disappointed by this poor quality of construction and fabrication in an expensive sink.
I have enclosed a photo of the finished sink, albeit with drain piping disassembled to fix the leak, on the stand. We had a similar plan as Leslie from Guam had for supporting the sink. I also attached a photo of the offending section of drain on the bottom of the sink.
