Customer Questions & Answers

how close to white is "Granito"?
Asked by: czell1655
It is not white- it is more of an almond tone. Its also not a single flat color. It has several "speckles" of varying colors, but the overall tone is more almond or light tan.

I assume that the sink drain trim and cover are not included. Can silver be substituted with a matching beige? Does it need to be a certain manufacturer?
Asked by: Carol
Hello Carol. You are correct. The drain trims are not included. While I am not a professional, I don't see any reason you can't use any color or brand available. I purchased a brushed stainless style in order to match our faucet and soap dispenser and went with the manufacturer the store offered. In case it may matter or help - we installed the garbage disposer on the right (smaller) side so that we could have pots and pans soaking and still have access to the disposer.

Bought this sink 3 months ago to use in our remodeled kitchen. I researched sink materials as much as I could and combined the research with my personal knowledge (cleaned houses for a living in my teen years) and decided to go with the Swan granite sink. It is very attractive having been mounted using the under-mount option. Much of the decision was based on the fact that my household killed 3 different porceline sinks, and I've never cared for stainless steel sinks (dry spotted unless use special cleaners, much worse when have lots of minerals in the water like we do). Relatives have the Swanstone sink and while they're very happy with it 12 years later, the Swanstone version didn't appear as though it could withstand our abuse (mild to moderate scratches after 12 years of use). Not so with the granite version. Though it's only been a few months. For the record, I waited until we had used the sink for a couple of months until I wrote this review. I have no regrets and would purchase it again. Of all the materials out there for sinks these days, granite seems to be the best for our needs. Having said that, we chose quartz countertops because of staining (we're even harder on our countertops than sink). The fact that this granite sink is 98% quartz is what cemented our choice. The sink stayed amazingly clean for 6 straight weeks, having been cleaned with nothing more than soap and water. Suddenly (or so it felt), the sink had stains on it. I washed it with soap and water to no avail. Pulled the maintenance information on it and it said to clean with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Wow! It took exceedingly little effort for it to appear brand new again. Went ahead and used the granite cleanser and polisher that they (Swan) recommended in hopes that it may take longer for it to appear stained again. That was days ago so can't say if it helped or not as yet. Can't say enough good things about this sink. Including the shape we chose. Love the fact that I can use the large section to clean large frying pans - that they actually fit with the handle going over the divider, while my disposer is still accessible on the smaller side. Love it, love it, love it. Ps - light and dark areas in the photo of the sink are due to the lighting at the time I took the photo and are not imperfections. No matter the size or shape of the photo I took for submission, Home Depot's software keeps cropping the photo :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my new sink, it really completes my new kitchen. I really like the design of the sink. I didn't think I would like a large sink on one side and a smaller one on the other side, but I was wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The design is a perfect fit for an island - layout allows for washing larger items A great addition to our new island, quality excellent, easy clean up so far and we love the larger sink for washing bigger items. We went with a Corian countertop in Witchhazel to top off our Aspen White island and this sink is a perfect match with our colors. We also took the advice of our Home Depot kitchen designer and spent the extra for Kohler drain plugs and am very glad we did - they match perfectly. We love this sink!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Functional I have had my new sink installed for almost 3 weeks now and I absolutely love it. It is beautiful and functional at the same time. I love having one larger sink that is 10" deep- it makes clean ups and washing pots and pans really easy. I have had some issues with black marks getting on the sink, but as an other reviewer mentioned, they have come right off with Magic Eraser. No scratches or other stains, and I have even knocked a glass off the counter and into the sink- both the glass and the sink were undamaged by the fall. I highly recommend this product. I honestly do not know how I got along with a 50/50 stainless steel sink for so many years before.
