Will this transmit from back yard to front?

My back neighbors have moles which keep getting into my yard and causing my dog to dig. I was thinking about one of these in the farthest corner of my back yard - BUT I do not want to run off the chipmunks that live in the front yard. What is the range on this with obstructions?

There would be a paved driveway and 1300 sqft brick house with basement to go through. In addition to the yard space.

It makes the beeping transmitting sounds. But I've had moles tunnel inches away from the spike .It seems as if they love to eat while the beat goes on. Save your money.

Answer:
I believe these have around a 7500 sq ft range. So these will work within that area but obstructions will interrupt the sonic wave that travels through the ground. The best way to make them work would be to keep them near the property line so they will keep the moles off your property.

Advertise to work for moles. It does not. I assume if it doesn't work for advertised rodent, it definitely would not work for unadvertised rodent. Save your money.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Works really well. Have several on just over an acre lot. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Defective product I purchased two gopher spikes. Neither one of them worked. I'm not talking about effectiveness against gophers. They never actually beeped/vibrated, the products were defective. I will return them and not buy this product again. August 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Very Well We have installed these spikes in two homes and they have worked great. The first set was 5 years ago and they are battery operated. That house is now a rental and we still haven't had a repeat of the mole in the yard. We bought these a couple of months ago because we had a vole in the front planter. He tunneled into the back yard, but haven't seen any sign of him since we put these solar spike in the yard. They do make an audible electronic sounding beep. We used 4 spikes for our half acre. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Skeptical, but worked for me! I was having issues with moles in my mulch and lawn. Tried chemicals and traps but they wouldn't stop. Picked up a few of these about 2 weeks ago and placed them around my yard. I was happy to see that after a few days no new tunnels popped up and it appears the moles moved on. I have heavy clay and the instructions indicate clay and other heavy soil will net the best results. They do feel a little flimsy so I was cautious pushing them in the ground. Also, you can hear the tone. While brief, it's definitely annoying when you're trying to enjoy some R&R. You can power them off though in that case. Definitely recommend. June 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not appear to work Who has a stake handy to punch a hole in the ground? I didn't. So I dug a hole of sufficient depth to accept this device in the general vicinity of the gopher trails two weeks ago. All that I see happening is the digging is going in a different direction away from the device but still in my yard. I have confirmed it is still making the noise but my gopher apparently couldn't care less. Now I'm back at ground zero to figure out how to get rid of the gopher. Back to YouTube I guess. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Have tired many methods of getting rid of the moles in my yard nothing worked. Bought the solar spike in April and they have worked no moles it has been 2 months. June 17, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works as well as expected Saw the prior reviews and gambled on the first one. These aren't magic, but seem to irritate the moles enough to get them to dig elsewhere, usually. So I ordered a second one and will probably order a couple more. June 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The only thing that has ever worked. No muss, no fuss. Set it and forget it. Use a stake to poke a hole in the ground because the plastic stake it comes with is a little flimsy. But even with this extra step, I still only spent about 90 seconds installing one. This made my yard safe to walk in again. The moles had gotten so bad I thought I was going to fall through to China. July 1, 2015
