How much sunlight does this plant need?

My backyard gets afternoon sun for 3 hours. I was wondering if this plant will grow there.

I am no gardening expert but I bought the black berry bush and planted it in a corner of my back yard in NYC which is almost sunless I do get a little sun in the late afternoon/evening....i get beautiful giant blackberries and the plant is very healthy one or two main stalks that get laden with fruit. You might give it a try. I have had this bush for two or three years and will probably buy a few more this year because Everyone loves eating these enormous blackberries and my little bush doesn't supply enough....I tried blueberries in the same spot but they only lasted one year and didn't produce much fruit.

Customer Reviews

Black Satin Thornless Blackberry Fruit Bearing Potted Plant is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bought 2 years ago Black satin Berries are bitter until very ripe and almost immediately after turning sweet they go rotten. Buy triple crown if you like to eat fresh. They produce huge sweet berries and you might even get some if you can keep birds at bay. I bought both kinds at HD and plants are robust and next year (3rd) I should get a huge crop. Plants are in Auburn, CA.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never produced a single leaf... I bought two pants and have yet to see a single leaf from either one. I planted them within an hour of purchase and this spring has kept them plenty watered and after over six weeks neither plant has yet to produce even a glimpse of green.
