Answer:
Blueberries actually prefer acidic soil. So the extra wood and acidity from the nuts will benefit the whole plant.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Blueberry Value I was expecting small plants of questionable health for the price.Plant came in twice the size, green and with many leaf and fruit buds on them. Fast delivery and arrived frozen but that told me plants had moisture which is good. Warranty is for 90 days but it can take 30 to bring out of dormancy so I decided to bring them out of dormancy early to make sure it happened during warranty period.5 days later it was clear plants are likely to be very healthy and I the best plants I have ever seen.(leafing out) I'll have to keep them inside and transition them outside but I ordered more. Best value on blueberries I have ever see.!!! January 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A little brown but thriving The plant came a little brown and shriveled; however, with a little TLC the plant is growing and doing well after a couple weeks. It may have been the heat of transportation that caused the plant to shrivel and brown. I am hopeful that next season this plant may fruit. There was already one tiny blue berry. July 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good deal nice plants I ordered six different blueberry varieties, they came well packaged, for some reason signature was required which made delivery difficult for me, but the plants looked pretty good, potted with nice roots and not water logged at all (pots had drainage holes as expected). Some of the plants did have dead/brown leaves though and I wasn't sure if this was just last year's leaves that weren't supposed to be there really, or something else? Others had lots of green leaves. All are planted and looking alive, I guess I'll know in a year or two how good they really are. Overall I'd say this was a good value, but for I think a dollar more you can get much bigger plants from the home depot stores themselves, to me those are an even better value (bigger pots, nice roots, and you can hand pick the best looking ones). I only mail ordered these because they offered varieties not offered in the store. May 5, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Healthy plants! The plants arrived promptly and in very good condition. They were very healthy looking. VERY pleased with purchase! Surprisingly, Home Depot was the ONLY place where blueberry plants could be bought online for my state. So far, they are doing very well. November 4, 2014
