Customer Questions & Answers

May I know what variety is this? Fo I need to buy 2 of them to cross pollinate? Do you send two different varieties?

Asked by: Gardenlover
I'm curious too. For $10 a plant, it'd be nice to know. BTW I hear Turcidus from Germany has the best flavor. Also Crimson Star is good and may be more available stateside.

Asked by: deblyn

Can I grow ths in pot or they have to be inground planted to produce fruit?

Asked by: Miro
If you grow in a container the roots allegedly will stop growing when they reach the pot sides and then it can put its' energy into producing fruit sooner than if you put in the ground. My source says one can get fruit in the first or second year that way when usually it takes 3 years. Home Depot's plant appears to be only 1 year old so it is possible to get fruit the year you containerize it. Recommended pot size is 5 (five) gallons minimum though. However I have grown my young plants in smaller pots about 3 (three) gal.

This plant didn't bear any berry for past 2 years, grew a lot though

I have planted this in my garden for two years and it indeed grew pretty fast. But the problem is, even it blooms each year, not a single berry was ever seen. Any idea? Thanks.
Asked by: Lily
you might need pollinators. or it's just not making enough flowers. there should be flowers all up and down the stem one at each leaf. if it wasn't making flowers i'd guess it needs phosphate since it won't flower without that. wood ash can help. netting can also help in case birds or rodents are taking the unripe fruit before you even notice.

I received my goji berry bush on October 12th in relatively poor condition. When it arrived there was dirt spilt all over the interior of the packaging, as expected so I wasn't concerned. There were only about 6-8 leaves on the plant when it arrived and within the first week it dropped almost all of them (I was concerned). I transplanted into a bigger pot with ph-adjusted soil, adjusted the temperature and humidity of the room, and gave the plant 12-14 hours of light a day and regular watering. Despite my best efforts the goji berry bush has officially kicked the bucket (it is now Dec 1st). I've never had such trouble with any plant before. To conclude, I received the plant when it clearly was in poor health. After 2 months (October & November) of intensive care the plant never continued to die until it was nothing but dry twigs sticking out of the soil. Very disappointed, was expecting and hoping for a better quality plant to begin with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This plant is doing amazingly well! It arrived in a dormant state and after only about a week started showing signs of growth. In just a short time it has grown at least 8 inches. Can't wait to plant it outside and start getting berries!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from UNBELEIVEABLE! To make a long story short- I ordered 3 of these Goji Berry bushes. After a week of not receiving them I decided to call UPS. After a long ordeal over the phone I found out they had these in the back. I assumed by then they would just be dead as a doornail. When I opened them they were still damp. After 2 days they started leafing and are on their way. I can't say enough how happy I am with they way they were packaged and how they were larger than I expected. Will definately be ordering more of these!
