I bought the Dirt Blaster after discovering that a few replacement parts for my Kreepy Krauly would actually cost more than a brand new Dirt Blaster. So far it seems to work just fine. The only issue I have (and I had the same issue with my KK) is that it tends to get stuck in one corner of my pool formed by the steps. Also, the assembly instructions were not real clear, but it isn't that difficult to figure out. I only rated the "Quality" as average because I haven't had it that long yet, so it's too early to tell, but it seems just as good as the KK, if not better. So far it looks like I saved over $100.00 going with the Dirt Blaster over the KK.

Came with 13 pieces of hose, to be connected together to get the necessary length, when it could be just a coil of one piece. For someone who never had a similar cleaner, there is a lot of guesswork involved, because the manual is horrible. Not enough information, no clear explanation on assembling, the illustrations are almost useless (print quality) and some times simply wrong.
Once successfully sorted out, the rest is intuitive.
Works O.K. Moves backwards, still can't figure out, if that's the intended way. My pool doesn't have sharp corners, but the cleaner manages to get stuck here and there, just crawling up the wall a little and sliding back down over the same spot, over and over again. So after trying the weight adjustments on the hose and not really gaining anything, I just pull the hose around some times, when I see it is stuck. I heard, though, this is a typical issue for this type of cleaners, regardless of brand or price. I don't let the pool bottom get too dirty with leaves or twigs, so I can't comment on cleaner's ability to pick this kind of things up. For me it's the sediments on the pool floor, specially after weekly brushing, and this cleaner does a good job of sucking all up.
I can't also comment on durability, I had it only for a couple of months. It all depends on the quality of materials used, so time will show.
