First, do an inventory immediately. I ended up having 1 board missing, 3 pieces of hardware, a whole bunch of screws/lags and 7 shelf locs missing. They were very quick to ship out the missing pieces with no hassles. So, aside from having to wait 3 days, in the end I got everything I needed. Second, the instructions say 8 to 10 hours. Just, no. Plan about 15 to 20. Third, the instructions are picture-led - which means you will have to look forward to see how things attach to get an idea of what the first step says to do. I sent suggestions to Swing-N-Slide to improve their instructions. Labeling the parts with part numbers would go a long way to helping us figure it out. Also, their instructions have a major error in them when building the monkey bars. If you read them and do the math, they say the distance from top to ground is 74", with 16" of the legs in the ground. That adds up to 90", but the boards are 96". You'll have to do some creative engineering (I ended up cutting 5.5" off the top of the ladder and reattaching the hardware). I also find it a bit annoying that the kit doesn't include the slide, yet the kit requires a slide before it is safe for kids to play on. That was a $160 surprise I wasn't expecting until I got to the store ready to buy. So - yes I would recommend the product as long as you have the time and patience to figure out sub-par instructions and the ability to wait a few days for missing parts. From what I've read, it's almost a given something will be missing. Home Depot had some of the parts (T Nuts, lag screws, and wood), but some of it I had to wait on, which was disappointing to my kids. Knowing what I know now, I would have made a video and posted it to help others.

The instructions for building this are horrible. The boards that come with it have a fair amount of warped pieces and measurements don't line up as expected. Example: deck slats have "1/2"spacing", but if you measure EXACT, you end up with a huge gap between the last slat and the deck end. The center deck support bar is a 2x2x8 "beam" that clearly should be a 2x4x47. With quality lumber and their accessories - hooks, slide, swing, cargo rope, etc., You could build a far superior playset than the with the lumber provided in the kit. It's a "budget" residential set, and budget is what you get.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CAG0803 Fabulous! Great set! Great features! Directionswritten by the DEVIL
Fabulous set! My daughter loves this without fail, it has the most features for the money and I would buy it again. I will NEVER wish assembly on anyone (maybe my ex-wife) because it is RAGE inducing. It came with two sets of instructions! fabulous! it took me 20 min to notice that I was reading the Spanish directions(shows how much text is actually in the instructions, hint-hint) It would be nice it it actually told you what parts were needed for each step (or any step) but no you get a picture of the part and if you have ever put anything together out of a box... ALL THE PARTS LOOK PRETTY MUCH THE SAME! Do your self a favor and pay some poor unfortunate soul a few hundred to put it all together for you. I recommend this set for anyone that can find someone to put it together. If I had known what it was going to REALLY be like trying to put this together I would have bought a set that included assembly - those sets were a few hundred more ($500 min) but it would have been worth it seeing that I have now lost my will to ever hold a drill again. I did like that I got to purchase the main wood beams, this way I was sure that I would have a structure that would last - some of the sets that included all the parts were either a lot more expensive or were so cheap that it was seemingly made with off brand Popsicle sticks.

7 structural brackets missing right out of the box. I couldn't even start to build this thing. How hard is it to count to 8? There is no quality control for the people putting parts in a box. Such a shame.

Bought it in store and had it shipped to our house. When we went to build it, it was missing 8 of the brackets you need to put it together. Went to the store to open a new box to get the missing pieces and that box was missing them as well. All in all, we are very disappointed that we bought a swing set that we cannot put together. Make sure you check to see all the pieces are there before wasting your time trying to put it together. Also the instructions on how to put it together are awful.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NeedsGlasses Sale Item - read fine print!
Beware the fine print! We purchased this item on sale. When it was delivered, we discovered it was missing half the pieces. They then had to be ordered separately, so as yet we have still not put it together. Disappointing.
