Customer Questions & Answers

What platform height is this slide best suited for?

We have a tree house with its floor about 90 inches from the ground. Would this slide work well?
Asked by: Anonymous
I installed this slide on an 84" deck. I wouldn't recommend it on the 90" or the end of the slide would be 6" off the ground and unstable.

Does Swing-N-Slide have any slides for a 10' platform?

Asked by: Amanda
Turbo Tube Slide. Swing-N-Slide does not make a slide for a 10' high platform. The 7' Turbo slide will mount to a 7' high platform, making this the highest slide available.

IF I HAVE A TALLER DECK(11 FOOT) CAN I ATTACH 2 OF THESE UNITS TOGETHER? A 7 FOOT SLIDE AND A 5 FOOT SLIDE TOGETHER?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Chris, I reached out to the manufacture, Timber Bilt to get you an answer. Timber Bilt stated attaching two of the slides together would not work. Timber Bilt also stated that what you're inquiring about has not been tested. Hope this answers your question.

Green Turbo Tube Slide is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible to put together!!!!! Holes didn't line up so much so that we had to drill them to line them up. Seams don't fit together like they are supposed to. It is made of cheap plastic.

Slide was moderately easy to assemble but verrry hard to attach to the play set. We ordered the 612 and the slide, which meant it was 614, but they did not send the hardware or instructions until we called to find out why it was not included. They supplied the plans electronically after the call and sent the hardware next day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grandchildren tested They love it Make sure you read as many reviews as possible to pick up on all the assembly "Tricks" . It shortens your learning curve........If it has been suggested before I will emphasize KEEP THE Plastic Panels you are putting together WARM (70-80 degrees) Much easier to manipulate than when it is COLD....needle nose pliers, wrench(s), socket wrench, a few longer bolts (Use as temporary securing when attaching circular sections), Patience (DO NOT expect to do it in 10 minutes!) and extra hands.....remember that the instructions have been written to attach this unit to an existing play set (Read Their Play Set) So if adding to your own construction (Like an existing deck) You' ll have to do your own engineering! Value rating that I gave is based on the SALE price on Amazon which Home depot matched at $419.00 Hope this helps

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful toy; hard to assemble. After reading previous folks' reviews, I was prepared to find pieces impossible to fit together and hard to figure out. The conceptual part was a piece of cake, and most holes did not line up unless forced. Nevertheless, I only had to drill one new hole, and was able to jimmy everything else into pretty close alignment. It took me (one person, alone) a few hours during each of three days to put it together and mount it on a custom-made platform. Because I was by myself, I used ropes to maneuver the top section in place for bolting before finishing the bottom pieces. The slide is rated for 250 lbs and it appears to me that is correct--I'm a little lighter than that and I went down it several times before I let the kids use it. :-) However, even when a fifty pound child slides down, there's some wobble, so I believe I will set a 4x4 post in concrete and bolt it to the outside of the slide about halfway up. All told, I am very pleased with the Turbo Tube. I do think it's a little overpriced, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is great! This is a great product! The delivery to the house was wonderful! The only difficulty was the lining up of the slide! If the manufacturer would just put arrows on the product where the pieces should line up it would make assembly much faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome slide So we were nervous, all the feedback said this slide was terrible to put together but we didn't have any trouble! We rotated the slide instead of us moving around in order to line up the bolt holes. Maybe it helped that my husbands wife is awesome, lol. But seriously, it was fine. The directions weren't really obvious about the frame for the platform so my husband built it four inches wide but a 2 inch would have worked. And make sure you mount the bottom up some.... It's a really quick slide and shot all 200lbs of me flying out on my butt, lol

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Assembly is a PAIN---Set aside a day! We purchased this slide for a tower constructed for our 2 grandchildren for Christmas. We are pretty good at doing these things ourselves. We enjoy the satifiscation of doing outdoor projects and the money we save in the process. Assembly: This slide was a PAIN. It took several hours for one person to assemble the parts. It took 2 people to connect the parts. We had to force a number of the holes into alignment. Connecting to the tower frame: My husband & son in law were able to get the 2 hex bolts secured. Then they discovered the holes we had marked & predrilled using the "template" did not match the holes in the actual slide mount. I would strongly recommend using the actual assembled slide to make your own template rather than using the one supplied with the kit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Im happy but... I got a good price on this slide but if I had paid full price I would be a little disappointed. The material is a little cheap and the components didn't fit together perfectly. I had to drill a few holes because they didn't line up. If this was a cheaper item I wouldn't mind but at $500, it should be better constructed.
