I bought this playset for my grand daughters to play on. It is a great looking set with much to appeal to 2-5 year olds (their ages). However, assembly brings out some of the flaws. The greatest flaw is that the dimensions of the lumber do not sync well with the fasteners. The 4x4's of the tower are at least 3/8" smaller than the brackets, making the brackets twist out of shape when you tighten the screws. In other places, the wood is too thin to accept the prescribed screw without protruding through the other side. The instructions generally read: "Install/connect the pieces as shown in figure XX". In a few places, the figures don't give enough info for the correct position of the pieces. This resulted in our having the bridge landing pad turned the wrong way to accept the ropes. The instructions also don't list the shovels as one of the tools you need for the project even though 2 9" x 20" holes must be dug.
I also do not recommend this set if you are on very hard ground as we are. getting the screw in anchors was nearly impossible.

I regret purchasing this product due to all the frustration it has taken to build. The company has followed the recent trend with instructions in taking the "less words is better approach and let the pictures guide the build." Unfortunately this approach only works if enough detail is provided in the picture. It becomes very important in assembling certain pieces that appear to be the same dimension however one piece needs to be oriented differently due to pre-drilled holes. It is not always clear which way a piece is to be oriented. The fastening system of using hex bolts with T-bolts is a bust. The prongs on numerous T-bolts have failed because the metal is too soft for the wood. I've had to bend back the prongs on several T-bolts and tap back into the wood to secure. Nine times out of ten the bent T-bolt just spins into the wood scraping out a hole. I've had to resort to using longer hex bolts (that I had to purchase separately) with washers and lock nuts. This system relies heavily on wood screws â in fact there are more than 900 screws! My neighbor has a set that uses many more bolts and lock nuts, which in my opinion is a much better, tighter, and square system. The swing bridge is a joke. Again the orientation of predrilled holes was incorrect in the directions so when it became time to install the bridge two very important support beams were orientated incorrectly. To secure the bridge decking, a wire needs to be fished through the ends of each board with predrilled holes to accept the wire. The holes are not wide enough to accept the wire! The wire simply frays and gets stuck in the middle of the board. This is an extremely poor system in my opinion. I've tried everything - taped the end of the wire, used a snake, but nothing worked. They should have made the holes bigger or the wire gage smaller. I've thrown up my hands in frustration. I will be purchasing either a smaller gage wire or larger drill bit to widen the holes so I can finally complete the play set. Another critical fail was the instructions for assembling the main swing support beam. The pictures do not provide enough detail in terms of securing the metal brackets to the swing beam. I wasted an hour fixing the problem when I installed the swing beam to the main structure. These instructions and some of the materials could use a serious review. I'd recommend they bring in your average Joe and ask him to build it following the instructions. All they have to do is look for the head scratching moments to see where improvements can be made in the instructions.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by neal1199 Good Value, pain to put together.
I was able to put this together alone but it took more than 25 hours. All in all a good value, but make sure you have the time to read every detail when assembling, it is easy to miss something and have to back track.

I feel that this was a great purchase, not only as a playset for my kids but also a wonderful addition to the back yard landscaping and looks. We (as a family) are counting on this playset for years to come. Also, I was pleased with the whole purchase process (on line produtcs and in store assistance), delivery time and easy step by step assembly instrctions. I would recommend this product.

This Product was an absolute nightmare to put together. Not only do the instructions not give enough detail to get it right the first time, the wood did not fit together in some areas the way it was supposed to. The Cable for the Rope Bridge frayed as we tried to feed it into holes that were way too small. My son loves it, however it was NOT worth the week long headache that it gave my husband and I.
