Nowhere in the description does it say what kind of wood is used. Is it cedar? It just says it is "pre-stained" and "naturally resists rot".

Thanks!

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not really worth it. I have had this swing set for a year now. It was so difficult for my husband to assemble I hired somebody THIS week to finish the project. Now my husband isn't the handiest but this is a task and not for a "weekend" project person. The portion that is standing isn't standing up to the weather. The bars on the "monkey bars" are already rusting and the paint is peeling off. I will need to replace them. The red stain is coming off. The set will look great when it is finished and my children won't care about the issues but I wish I had found a better set. June 26, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great design poor lumber and instructions. This play set took an experienced builder twice as long to assemble as instructions said it would take. Lumber sizes were not standard sizing. On the monkey bars & rock wall you put many boards together to make each side could have used 1 wider and longer board for more strength. Not recommended for kids over a 100 lbs or over 12 years old as flooring is thin. The design is great use this design to get your own lumber and build it yourself. Instructions are horrible and you get 4 different instruction books so look carefully at them all before you begin, and each book is in a different box. Open all boxes and lay everything out according to size before starting ANYTHING because boxes are not labeled in order with the instructions. Envy of the neighborhood though. Only time will tell if it stands up to all the kids. Stain scuffing off already after 1 week. April 26, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wouldn't purchase again. The materials were poorly numbered. Each section should have been seperated and placed in bundles. Difficulty arose with too many directions being sent for multiple sets. The wood for the rock wall and monkey bars are not strong enough. Instead of screwing multiple thinner boards a 2 X 4 with the appropriate length should have been supplied. Otherwise, its done and being enjoyed. September 6, 2011
