Product Overview

The Swisher 6.75 gross torque string trimmer is an ideal back-saving alternative to heavy handheld gas trimmers. This trimmer features a Briggs & Stratton EXI engine with READY START and CHECK AND ADD technology. This eliminates the need to prime before starting and no oil changes will be needed. Just add oil when necessary. The trimmer's wide 22 in. cutting swath rivals that of most lawnmowers, while its user-friendly design offers unsurpassed, precision trimming performance. The improved trimmer head features 4 strings / 8 effective cutting lines and allows you to adjust your cutting height from 1.5 in. - 4 in. For added safety, you can engage and disengage the trimmer head from the handle bar while the engine is running. The trimmer features 13.75 in. wheels for plenty of clearance and smooth rolling over rough terrain. The trimmer line is easily replaceable without the use of tools.

22 in. 6.75 Gross Torque 163cc Walk-Behind Trim-N-Mow Plus Gas String Trimmer is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Device for what I needed For the "Back Acre" this has been just the right tool. Trying to keep the Southwestern weeds under control with a "weed wacker" type device had proven to be back breaking. This machine makes it quick work. I probably should have bought more replacement string up front. Weeds of a stalky nature and saplings tend to snap the string. Overall easy to use and maneuver around.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost junk. First of all the good part. The Briggs engine started the first time every time. That's the only reason it got two stars. Whoever packed the machine mounted the handle in the wrong bolt holes and kinked the control cable when they folded the handle over. I found two strange parts in the box when I opened it, and still don't have a clue where they go. Yesterday, I found a nut on the floor under the mower, once again no clue. The belt that drives the head is already starting to fail after less than a month. It's going back in the morning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell Apart Clips holding belt guard fell out, Belt pullet idlers were badly miss aligned causing excessive belt wear. screws that hold the wheels to the main frame, which also support the engine frame fell out on one side. They were the self threading type of screw of which i had replacement but the thread had been striped when it fell out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does an ok job The trimmer does a good job until you get into the tall grass then it stalls the engine. I am thinking 6.75 hp should not stall in tall grass. The problem is B&S engines have gotten so cheap that their 6.75 motor may only be 4.0hp That is what happens when you outsource to CHINA. Hake sure to check all the nuts and bolts befre using as some are just finger tight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money. I considered many models of walk behind string trimmers. The Home Depot Stores only carry 2 models, but also sells the Swisher models online. The Swisher model here had a bit more power and the string head accomodates 4 strings instead of the 2 that the store brands have. I thought I was stepping up, more power, more strings.....better trimmer. I was sadly dissapointed. The overall construction was flimsy, plastic and thin tube metals. I had this trimmer delivered to my house, read the manual and followed instructions for the set up and usage. First the cable to the handle that engages the powerhead started fraying. Then after 5 hours of use, the belt broke and came spewing out of the belt housing. 5 hours of use. I looked up some replacement belts and saw they cost around $60! That was the last straw, I propmptly took the trimmer back to the brick and mortar store in my town for a refund. Do yourself a favor and stick to the brands Home Depot carries in store. I have spent a lot of money on tools and appliances at the Home Depot and they have never dissapointed me. Sadly walk behind string trimmers are in short supply at the store, probably because people either already bought this one or know someone who did, and opted to buy the Club Cadet models at the stores. So now I have a half done patch of tall grass, and my car smells like a mower shop from having to take it back to the store. It worked like a charm, for 5 hours. Never again Swisher, never again.
