Answer:
It connects with a pin that drops down through the hole. It is a very bad design(you can read my review about what happened). I would fabricate your own attachment.

Answer:
I got mine a couple weeks ago and pull it with a Cub Cadet, Kholer motor and 52 inch cut. It gives me about 7 feet cut with a small overlap. Not sure of my h.p. but it must be 20 or so. The Cub Cadet is a 2006 model and the side cutter doesn't slow it down very much.

Answer:
Rough Cut Trailcutters are typically pulled with an ATV or UTV since you are using it in brush. A riding mower can pull it, but the size needed really depends on a number of things. Your average mower with an average sized person should pull it just fine. For more information, please feel free to call Swisher's toll free line at 800-222-8183.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job! I've put over ten hours on this machine and it has worked great for me. It has taken down 8' weeds, saplings, briers and other mess and totally destroyed it! August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Swisher does the job Despite how difficult it was for me to unload this product because of where the trailer arms were stored in the crate, the actual use is great. The product cuts the tough high grass and weeds and small saplings. I really needed to do that to a new pasture I established but could not cut with my regular mower because of some left over stumps. The stumps were basically eaten up by ants and replaced with anthills after four years of not being mowed but once by a bush hog I hired. I really wanted my own equipment to do the job my way. My lawn tractor is only a 17.5 engine that I took the mowing deck off of it and have been towing the Swisher behind. The Swisher gets caught on the big anthills and in some of the high thick stuff but I am always able to get free and keep mowing with it. Once this first cut is done I expect the next few will be a breeze with the Swisher. I just recommend a little bit more power in the towing vehicle so that getting over the anthills is very routine as well. It is a little bit stubborn about starting with the pull starter, but it will start after a couple slow pulls as long as the key is put on run on the controller. Don't forget the key on run. It really is a very handy product and I am so glad I did not have to purchase a tractor and a bush hog for this job. I used to own those and really was not pleased with the time it took to change out implements and the awkwardness of the mowing process. Switching to a lawn tractor later on, when the pasture was tame and smoothed out was a great improvement to the grass and the process of mowing. This new pasture will become just and smooth and easy to cut later on with the help of this Swisher. Great product. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by recoil start problems had it for a few years now and have to say not happy with the recoil start I have had to replace it almost every year and I only use it maybe 8-12 times a year at my place in Wisconsin. It is made of plastic that doesn't stand up to the force of starting the engine. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great machine We have 40 acres.that is fenced and I pull the trail cutter behind my Kawasaki Mule to cut the grass along the fence line. I followed the instructions and pull it slowly and it does a great job. It cuts the grass and the small bushes with trunks around 1 - 1.5 inches. NOW read how Home Depot did at the end of this review!!! June 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice mower! Good product. Starts first pull every time. Fuel tank is adequate for two hours of use. Hitch assembly is of lightweight construction and could use a serious upgrade. Cuts like a charm! June 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect cutter used the cutter to cut roads and food plots for deer, started first time, cut approx 20 acres awsome machine, good fuel usage, stump guard on blade holder is excellent design. September 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great field mower I love this rough cut mower, really gets the job done and and pulls pretty good behind my ATV. The only thing that bothered me was how stiff the hight adjustment crank was. but over the last few week it has gotten smoother. My only problem is that I didn't buy the model with the starter and that was me being cheap. August 23, 2015
