CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great machine Bought this unit to cut tag alders on roadsides where we moose hunt. This machine far exceeded our expectations. Keeping in mind that we had to make 4 passes we completed about 8 miles of road in a 9 hour day. Machine is a beast. Driven pulley nut wasn't torqued right from the factory and it did some damage to the pulley and bearing. Did a backwoods repair and worked it for another day. When we came back town I called and got all the new parts under warranty. Drawbar is a tad weak but once you get the feel of pulling it with a quad there is no issue. March 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice mower! Good product. Starts first pull every time. Fuel tank is adequate for two hours of use. Hitch assembly is of lightweight construction and could use a serious upgrade. Cuts like a charm! June 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent addition to my pasture battle every spring! I have been using my 1956 Ford 850 with a 5' bush hog to mow my 5 acre pastures. Tired of the time it took and constant maintenance I decided to go with a swisher rough cut tow behind mower to pull behind my ATV. Product arrived early, uncrated, checked fluids added gasoline and started on first pull. Have used several times now and have not had the least little issue with the unit. And riding on an ATV sure beats the heck out of riding on a 50 year old tractor. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome mower Mower was delivered sooner than I expected. Was easy to hook up and started on the second pull. I've mowed our trails a couple of times so far and it works like a charm. Was always concerned about taking my 6 year old daughter on the 4 wheeler back the trail with weeds so high. We have animals in the woods (snakes, coyotes) so I didn't want to be surprised by a critter. We also have a lane 10 acres long so we are trimming that back to get our truck up the lane. It makes the property look so much nicer. I highly recommend this mower. We are very happy with it so far. August 19, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Mower This thing cuts grass, weeds, and even saplings. Even with the small fuel tank, I'm able to cut for about 2 hours before the tank is empty. The connecting bar is really too long, however, which requires much longer turns. The hardware is also cheap, and I have already had to change nuts and bolts. It pulls well with my craftsman lawn tractor, but would be better with an ATV. September 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product is just what we wanted/expected. We used ours for the first time this weekend and it performed great. It was easy to hook up and get running and did a great job. April 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by missing parts, flat tire upon arrival and broke after 1 hour of use. The trailcutter arrived with a completely flat tire, and missing bolts needed to attach the hitch. The tire could not be fixed (its tubeless) even with a can of silicone sealant. The Swisher trailcutter failed after 1 hour of use. At first it appeared to be a simple thrown belt (a common problem with Swishers), but upon closer inspection, it was missing a spacer, resulting in the disintegration of an important bearing, which caused the belt to dislodge. The replacement bearings and spacers have arrived and I will attempt repairs. To date, it has run for 1 hour, and had (1) a completely flat tire (upon arrival), (2) missing parts (bolts and a spacer that resulted in a failure of bearings and belt). I will repair and hope nothing else is wrong. I have spend an additional $170 on replacement parts. The Swisher customer service is non-existent. This swisher does have some nice features - if they ever work. The blade engage control that can be mounted on the hitch is nice. The swing hitch also works well (for 1 hour). If I can get this contraption working, it might be OK. A friend has an older model and it works well! This one is a total lemon so far. June 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by time saver The trail cutter does an excellent job of mowing on our ski trails through out the woods. Pulling with John Deere lawn tractor and have no problems climbing the hilly turain. August 5, 2014
