I have seen this model and one with the same model number but with TRM after it for $100 less. What is the difference?

Answer:
The 'TRM' version would include trim-only, and not the actual valve required for operation. Customers purchasing the 5505-SBZ-TRM would generally have a Symmons valve already plumbed in and are simply looking to update their look.
Best!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Spending this much on a product should shine when received. I have not seen this product on the shelves anywhere but the shower head and separate wand is what we wanted for our new walk in shower. This is the color we wanted and it looked great on the website even though it was a little pricey. I bought it and when it arrived I was not impressed. It was in a brown cardboard box with all of the parts contained as if this was a refurb. It was packaged well but missing the instruction manual to install, product manual, but it did include the Pick List of parts and all the items the warehouse had on hand for inventory. It did include the person's checkmarks as they pulled the items for fulfillment. The only instructions it came with was a photocopy of a diagram with some measurements on it. I could have returned it but I was at the point of my remodel that I needed to have all of this in place and the pieces seemed to be in a good enough order to install. The Symmons site thankfully had a manual I could download for the product. I still think I'm missing a nipple for the handheld unit coming through the wall but I will just pick that up for a few bucks. I noticed the valve body would not take a 1/2" pipe when trying to sweat it on without some force. I had to remove and really sand the inside to ensure a proper fitting. This is what makes me think it was a refurb. I was expecting a little heavier material for the showerheads. The finish is nice but they are very lightweight and if dropped will dent easily. The brass valves look to be where the quality is what you are paying for. Since this is in the walls and I have no access without going through a wall that is the important thing. The outer pieces can always be changed and probably will within 5 year is my guess. But for now it looks nice and works. I would recommend the product but not from Home Depot Online. I want to see some original packaging. May 3, 2016
