Solid window, easy to install, but incredibly overpriced. If interested, background follows. This window was purchased as a replacement for an oddly sized 90” x 40” window I installed over 20 years ago. Searching for a replacement, it quickly became apparent that I had two choices – either reduce or increase the rough opening to accommodate one of the standard sizes available for replacement. Obviously, for practical purposes, increasing a rough opening in an existing structure is a major undertaking while reducing the opening is relatively easy. Having chosen the easy path, the next question was how much smaller of a window would work for the given structure. For various reasons, I opted to reduce the size as little as possible which ultimately led to the realization that reasonably priced windows were simply not available if I wanted to keep close to that original size. I wound up paying what I consider a ridiculously premium price for an average product. The window is delivered in 3 sections. (I could write an entire review just on the delivery fiasco but that’s not the purpose of this evaluation.) The directions call for building the window on the ground, attaching the three sections and installing as a single window. Given the weight of the window, its overall size, my advanced age and lack of available help, I installed the windows into the structure individually, connecting the sections as I went along and temporarily modified the window framing to accommodate the last section and its connection to the middle window accordingly. Installation was completed without any hitches and the window looks good. Experience is a great teacher and for those who do their own building, I would suggest sticking with standard sized windows (and doors) whenever possible. 3 stars because it is simply way over priced.

This just got installed. Be warned: There is a lot of frame here. It will cut your view considerably, like 6" all around. So you lose a lot of glass and a lot of light. I was very disappointed by how much of the window opening it ate up. I wish I never change out my old window. Attached are pics of the old window and the new install. I just wasn't prepared to lose so much view.

Great product. Would recommend and use again. The only thing not explained well is that the window comes disassembled. Meaning the three windows are not joined. The directions are not clear as to how to assemble them. You must unlatch the lock, partially open the window and remove the screws. Then install the window in the opening and secure the screws.

            These windows are great!!!
These windows are great!!! You will need a little help because there are no instructions. After talking to Tafco the window rough opening size is correct on Home Depot web site ( DO NOT ADD ½ Inch). Before you start make a holder for the windows, I user two 2x4x10ft. with a small gap so the nail fin wouldn't break when assembling the unit. When you assemble the three windows you will need to take the locking mechanism off the two outside windows to attach the three windows together they provide the screws and caulk . I also took the two outside windows out of the frame to make the complete window lighter for installing. Very easy too remove the outer windows. Make sure after tacking the window frame in the opening you put the outer windows in for shimming the window frame. You will need to operate open and closing the windows. If you are not shimmed correctly the opening and closing will not work easy. Spent the time to do this right.

            Windows
Windows are sold as 119 inches wide, but do not come assembled. Seller should disclose that assembly is required. Once I figured the assembly process everything was good

            THIS WINDOW IS GREAT !
This window came in three boxes which made it easy to transport from the store. We also were able to install it one piece at a time by screwing the top flange on first and then fitting each piece together and screwing the 6 side screws in that were already installed in one side that secured the window together. This method made it much easier than trying to install the window assembled which would have been very heavy and awkward. In fact we hung the window first and then installed the bottom framing after because we weren't sure how square the rough opening was in our 30 year old cabin. We were then able to install the rest of the side and bottom screws. We were done installing the window in less than one hour and ready for the trim. We are very happy with how easy the installation went.

Average construction, with concern over screw location for hardware.
Window has little insulation besides the double pane glass. Non at all where the casement and picture join. Screws securing the hardware penetrated the casing and are a potential area for a leak. Silicone caulking was applied at exposed screw locations. Generally, the frame was thin and not sturdy. I would say you get a average constructed window at this price point with nothing extra.
