I need to start by saying, installing basement windows is not an easy job as they are set in concrete. Breaking the old ones out and chipping away the old cement to install the new ones is a very difficult and time consuming job. It is not recommended for the average do it yourselfer.
These are a very nice replacement window, they are easy to open look very nice and well insulated. I highly recommend them

I'm a DIYer for this product. The plastic flange was helpful with installation. What little trimming I needed to do I could do with a simple utility knife. After installing the window I saw how well it works so I decided to order three more to complete the job. Another nice feature is the screen that covers the entire window was a plus as I am concerned about flying stones damaging the window when I mow the lawn. We have moles in the lawn around the house who bring up stones that the lawn mower pitches out. The screen protects the window. This window was priced lower than others I found. Shipping was fast and packaging was excellent. This window was very easy to install. The pictures show the need for finish work and painting.

This was almost exactly what I was looking for and performs better than expected. Fast delivery right to your door. I am using it in a play house for a pretend "drive through" window. It fits great and most importantly is very easy to operate for small children. The kids love it! The old window required an adult to open and close, this will be a lot easier for the kids to have fun with. Easy to install!

MY BASEMENT WINDOWS WERE BAD, A CONTRACTOR TOLD $300 EACH + LABOR. I MY CAST THE OLD WINDOW WOULD REQUIRE A LOT OF WORK. I DID THE WHOLE JOB FOR JUST ON ONE CONTRACTOR WINDOW. TIME WILL TELL IF I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE.
I DID ONE WINDOW A DAY [WEATHER] AND SAVED ABOUT $1000, NOT BAD FOR SOMEONE RETIRED. I WILL SAY IT'S A DIRTY JOB AND IN MY CASE WORKING ON YOUR BELLY REACHING DOWN INTO A WINDOW WELL.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MomOf2Babes Works great. Looks more expensive than it was.
The plastic lock seems to be the only, very, obvious "cheap" aspect to the window. I replaced one basement window with this. The old frame and sill were rotted; so I replaced all the wood (made new frame/sill) too. I cut the fins off with a utility knife. If wasn't too difficult, just a little bit of a pain. I simply cut one side, then flipped it over and did the same. They snapped right off then. The window works great, fit great, looks great. This was one of those few purchases in which you can feel as though you've actually gotten a good deal for your money. I'm pleased with this window; and I'll be replacing the other six windows as well soon. I may even look into this window/brand for our attic windows. I hope this review is helpful. (Oh, and in the pics, the ground level is not actually above the window. There were some big rocks piled up there that have since been moved. Just fyi) .

You get what you pay for with these windows. I bought three of these windows to replace old wood single pane windows in my basement. They are cheap, and will work, but I wasn't overly impressed. Several of my vinyl welds in the corners were not welded as they should be. The lock on the window is pretty much non existent, as they just drilled a hold in the vinyl and your lock goes into the hole, instead of latching tight. If I push on the edge of the window, it will open right up, even if in the locked position.
If your looking for a cheap replacement, this is your window. But I wish I would have spent a few more dollars, and got a window that was higher quality. Yes, it is a lot better than a single pane wood frame window, but I'm not sure how much!!!
