Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 176 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FOR THE PRICE, NOT BAD! MY BASEMENT WINDOWS WERE BAD, A CONTRACTOR TOLD $300 EACH + LABOR. I MY CAST THE OLD WINDOW WOULD REQUIRE A LOT OF WORK. I DID THE WHOLE JOB FOR JUST ON ONE CONTRACTOR WINDOW. TIME WILL TELL IF I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. I DID ONE WINDOW A DAY [WEATHER] AND SAVED ABOUT $1000, NOT BAD FOR SOMEONE RETIRED. I WILL SAY IT'S A DIRTY JOB AND IN MY CASE WORKING ON YOUR BELLY REACHING DOWN INTO A WINDOW WELL. July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Basement Window Replacement on an old House I'm a DIYer for this product. The plastic flange was helpful with installation. What little trimming I needed to do I could do with a simple utility knife. After installing the window I saw how well it works so I decided to order three more to complete the job. Another nice feature is the screen that covers the entire window was a plus as I am concerned about flying stones damaging the window when I mow the lawn. We have moles in the lawn around the house who bring up stones that the lawn mower pitches out. The screen protects the window. This window was priced lower than others I found. Shipping was fast and packaging was excellent. This window was very easy to install. The pictures show the need for finish work and painting. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT ITEM FOR THE MONEY---FIT EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED---SLIDES EASILY AND LOCKS SNUGLY---WHAT MORE COULD I ASK FOR ? good buy for the money---opens easily, locks easily---would buy again or recommend to others. June 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great window for the price. This was almost exactly what I was looking for and performs better than expected. Fast delivery right to your door. I am using it in a play house for a pretend "drive through" window. It fits great and most importantly is very easy to operate for small children. The kids love it! The old window required an adult to open and close, this will be a lot easier for the kids to have fun with. Easy to install! October 4, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not as great as you would hope You get what you pay for with these windows. I bought three of these windows to replace old wood single pane windows in my basement. They are cheap, and will work, but I wasn't overly impressed. Several of my vinyl welds in the corners were not welded as they should be. The lock on the window is pretty much non existent, as they just drilled a hold in the vinyl and your lock goes into the hole, instead of latching tight. If I push on the edge of the window, it will open right up, even if in the locked position. If your looking for a cheap replacement, this is your window. But I wish I would have spent a few more dollars, and got a window that was higher quality. Yes, it is a lot better than a single pane wood frame window, but I'm not sure how much!!! May 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great. Looks more expensive than it was. The plastic lock seems to be the only, very, obvious "cheap" aspect to the window. I replaced one basement window with this. The old frame and sill were rotted; so I replaced all the wood (made new frame/sill) too. I cut the fins off with a utility knife. If wasn't too difficult, just a little bit of a pain. I simply cut one side, then flipped it over and did the same. They snapped right off then. The window works great, fit great, looks great. This was one of those few purchases in which you can feel as though you've actually gotten a good deal for your money. I'm pleased with this window; and I'll be replacing the other six windows as well soon. I may even look into this window/brand for our attic windows. I hope this review is helpful. (Oh, and in the pics, the ground level is not actually above the window. There were some big rocks piled up there that have since been moved. Just fyi) . May 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, easy to install, and insulated I bought these to replace 2 ancient, drafty basement windows. They were slightly smaller than the opening. The person who installed them put some wood framing and shims to fit. He installed each one in less than half an hour. They look WONDERFUL and the basement is noticeably warmer. Very happy with this purchase! February 7, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall very happy with this product I was looking for some simple windows for a shed that I am building. I am not looking for the highest quality or the best insulation values etc. This was a good deal and delivered well packaged to my doorstep a few days later. If you hold the pane upside down, you feel the slider is a bit loose, but once installed properly it slides like there is no tomorrow. Installation is as easy as putting it in a frame (I welded one from 0.75" steel) and using 4 screws. If you can't install this, there is something wrong with your house, not the window. Since I just installed it, I have no idea of durability, or potential discoloring in the California sun. But at this price, you can afford to replace them. November 17, 2011
