Out of 6 windows ordered, only had problems with 1 being out of square. It required a bit of shimming to allow the window to open and close properly and to allow the latch to engage with the slot. It still is not as smooth as the others but I have no intention of trying to return it. Some of the nailing strips were wrinkled or bent slightly, not a big deal. Overall these windows are a good value for an unheated enclosed porch.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by sakman Easy to order
Ordered these windows online with the help of a specialist who offered a 10 % discount or free shipping to my house. I chose to pick the windows up at a local store and take the 10% discount which I have noticed is not on my billing statement and I have not contacted Home Depot on that issue yet. The windows came much quicker than I was told they would which was great. The whole experience of ordering and shipping online was wonderful and easy and as long as I can take care of the discount and billing I will rate this purchase as A-1.

Order 36" x 48" vinyl slider window. Arrived at the store ahead of schedule. Was very well packaged (2 boxes, styrofoam and TONS of bubble wrap). There was a small knick near the center and bottom of the full screen, but it looks more like a manufacturing defect. It wasn't really a hole and not worth hauling it back to the store and waiting for another. I read all the reviews before buying, and several mentioned a cheap, plastic lock, so I was aware of it ahead of time. It does feel flimsy but since my husband will be the only one using it, it should be fine. I wouldn't trust it if the kids had to use it. The only issue we had was the vinyl j-channel setup on it. Our garage just had frame and T-111 siding on it, and this window was a new install. The nailing flange looked like it was going to line up with the potential gap between the jack studs and the jamb where we left 1/8 inch to shim. So we ended up not cutting the siding away for our rough opening to give it a little more to nail to. (The actual window size was 47 5/8 x 35 1/2, and our rough opening was almost exactly that.) So the nailing flange is on the outside of our T111 siding, not ideal, but we used pressure treated wood for the frame & sill and, caulked with 100% silicone behind the flange and around the edge after install. We still have to add the trim which, going back to the j-channel thing, is going to require a lot of caulking because the gap between the front edge of the window where the j-channel edge sticks out on all 4 sides and the nailing flange is like an inch. The trim is only going to fill half to 3/4 at best so we will have to caulk the rest. We considered cutting the j-channel edge off like one other reviewer did, but since it's somewhat thick, we figured it not only was going to take awhile but may not have looked so good once done. If this was a new install where the siding wasn't on yet, or an install with vinyl siding, it would've been easier. For the price, and for the purpose we needed it for, we are really happy with it. Opens very easily. Cannot be installed vertically - sliding window would not work properly. Single pane so not insulated - not for use in heated/cooled rooms. The instructions that came with the window on the box (in with the packing label) are useless. there are more detailed instructions online, but they are very basic. Make sure to measure your window to verify width & height before framing.
