Very happy replacing the five 50W halogen bulbs in our fixture with these 7W versions. The light quantity and quality is great for the work surface we have it over. I also really like the reduction in heat output, the halogen always worried me a bit with how freaking hot they got.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by terps530 Shape of bulb is larger than most MR16 GU10 Bulbs
I bought these lights to replace MR16 GU10 halogen bulbs that came with a Hampton Bay track light fixture from Home Depot. After struggling for a while to figure out why the bulbs would not mate with the light fixture, I looked and the profile of the actual bulb is different than most bulbs this style. If you look at the picture, this bulb starts to widen only a short distance from the GU10 pins, whereas most other bulbs in this size have a longer skinny section, before widening to the end of the reflector.
This bulb does not mate with The Hampton Bay Vortex Lighting kit, and may not mate with other light fixtures as well, if they have similar tight openings. I would think there should be some sort of standard to follow for bulb manufacturers, but it seems the physical shape can vary, as long as the overall dimensions are held.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by textech007 Best replacement for halogen
I replaced the GU10 halogens over our cooktop that were raking in 200W and these GU10 LED bulbs were the perfect replacement. They are actually brighter than the halogens to be honest. So far they are working fine but time will tell as to how long these will last. For the price, I cannot complain. The quality is pretty good and up-to-par with other name brands. These were running 3/$29.97 which were a steal.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by clbiggs Good lighting, low electric bill
The picture and advertisement did not state whether these were 12VDc or 120VAC. After I ordered them, I noticed some tiny print on the package shown that said 12VDC. I e-mailed about cancelling the order, but couldn't cancel, which turned out to ba a good thing. I received 120VAC bulbs that are as bright as the halogen bulbs they replaced, and 1/10th the wattage. Converting our kitchen/dining room to LED lighting has reduced our electric bill more than $150.00 a month, and the bulbs are supposed to last ages longer than either halogen or CFL. It's been over a year since we started converting, and we've had no burnt out LED bulbs, but 4 halogen. These will pay for themselves in less than 3 months.

I really wanted to like these. Out of 12, two bulbs did not work right out of the box. One stopped working within 2 days. Almost all of them flicker at some point and are in 3 different fixtures, with only one fixture on a dimmer. They do seem to dim reasonably well but the quality control is poor and these are likely just cheap chinese parts. I figured these were worth a try but they are not going to fly. The GU10 bulbs for some reason are not as abundant as many of the other LED bulbs and have a ways to go before I can replace all of my track lighting with them. The bigger name brands like Phillips are still way too expensive to be viable option of replacing the 20+ GU10 bulbs in my home.

I had been looking for the right bulb to replace the halogen GU-10 bulbs in my kitchen which work well, but generate too much heat when turned to full brightness. These bulbs fit, and work well, but one out of 8 became intermittent in operation after just a day. The bulbs dim well with my Lutron dimmer, but the one problem is that although the bulbs are listed as "warm-white," in color, the light is much closer to daylight white, and is too cool for the lighting we want in the kitchen. I want light that is closer to the color of the halogen bulbs that these were to replace.

I would buy these again. I think it was a good value.
I do not hear it but my wife says the lights make a 'buzzing noise' at lower intensity.
I can not dim the lights to a low intensity. It could be my rheostat but the lights go from off to medium intensity. From medium to high they are fine.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DB33 Searching for a good light for my application and unfortunately dissapointed :(
I was looking for a light that would be look good, have a not too harsh a light (2700-3000K more towards warm), and work well with a dimmer, unfortunately they only give a 1" diameter spot of light, a very narrow beam, and flicker when dimmed more than 30%. I returned them and went with the Feit dimmable 35w equivalent 5 watt LEDs. A much better product at $10 each ( bought from Home Depot of course ) :)
