Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chuck25 Ideal bathroom light bar bulb
This LED Globe bulb is the perfect replacement for the incandescent version. It is actually a little brighter than the 40 watt incandescent bulb and can be used with a dimmer if desired. It does not require warm up time to reach full brightness as does a CFL. There is a barely noticeable half second delay, but no noise or flickering as with some CFLs. This bulb looks just like an incandescent globe bulb, not like a "pigs tail" or "curly fry" and consumes only 5 watts each for 40 plus watts of light. That's 30 watts consumed for 240 plus watts of light for a six bulb light bar. Can't beat that.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JJJCC I'm shocked!
I consider myself very picky about lighting around my house. I ordered 6 bulbs for a bathroom vanity based on the reviews that I read online and I am very happy with the output quality. These are very close to the real incandescent bulb color, slightly brighter. I haven't received my electric bill yet as I am converting most of my bulbs to LED's, so can't comment on the savings yet. I do know I WILL be ordering more for my other bathroom vanity.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by XTron1 Not as advertised, but ok
Experience with Home Depot was great. These bulbs are advertised and labeled as 2700k "warm white". I have other LED bulbs that are 2700k and they are quite a bit warmer than these. I would say these are more like 3500k. I am going to live with them, but I was disappointed that they were quite a bit "cooler" white than I anticipated. If this is an issue for you, I would buy a different brand.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by capvid86 Only 300 Lumens, But Still A Great Bulb
The packaging of this dimmable G25 globe style bulb shows 300 Lumen rating.
Bulb still seems a bit brighter than 40 watt soft white incandescent type, when side by side.
Nicely balanced light diffusion, without harsh bright spot in the center that other LED bulbs can have.
Not uncomfortable to look at bare bulb, like some LEDs are.
Dims easily to 50% (my lowest setting) without any buzz or hum in 12 bulb fixture.
Short ramp up to full brightness is pleasant on eyes.
Priced less than CFL globe bulbs, which take a while to warm up to full brightness.
Best globe-style LED for the price I have found so far.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SHSH Very Satisfied, better than expected
I have a bathroom fixture that took 10 40W bulbs and therefore burned 400 watts undimmed. The new bulbs use only 5 watts (total 50 watts for the fixture) and produce MORE light so that we often use the dimmer. Very nice color (2700K) so it's the same warm white that we're accustomed to. No regrets and they will pay for themselves over time on the electrical bill savings as electricity here in NH is quite expensive.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smitty Great Decorative LED
So, I have been on a campaign to replace all of our home light bulbs with energy efficient ones, much to the irritation of my wife. She does not like compact fluorescents and when I put dimable LED's in the dining room lights she complained about the odd light dispersion pattern they emitted. So replacing the decorative light bulbs in the bathroom vanities was going to be a challenge. I had them on my target list because they gave off a lot of heat and made the bathrooms pretty warm and uncomfortable during the summer months.
I replaced the decorative incandescent vanity light bulbs with the SOFT WHITE (2700K) G25 LED bulbs when my wife was out of the house and did not say anything to her. It's been 2 months now and she still has not noticed. The bulbs give a rich warm light, every bit as good, if not better than the conventional incandescent decorative bulbs, but at a much lower energy cost and without the large amount of heat the incandescent bulbs typically generate.
I'm extremely happy with my purchase and the performance of these LED bulbs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FixitupBob A great buy!!
These lamps were used for replacing all the incandesant 40 watt lamps in a six lamp fixture over a vanity. I left one old lamp in to compare the new against the old. At full brightness, you could really not tell which were incandesant and which were LED!! I was happily surprised. The color rendition very closely matched that of the incandesant lamps.
As you turned down the dimmer, the incandesant lamp's brightness fell of rapidly, to complete darkness. The dimmable LEDs also dimmed, but not as rapidly, and did not quite fully extinguish, which is fine in this application.
Of note is the rapid response of the lights upon powering on, unlike the obvious delay and clicking noise of rhe CFL type lamps; which in my exrerience do not live up to their life expectancy rationgs.
The best feature is the power comsumption and the greatly reduced heat generation. My wife does her hair and make-up in front of this vanity. This is in a second story, smallish dressing room, where in the summer heat, even with whole house airconditioning, it was nearly unbearable to sit with 240 watts radiating at you, while applying the "finishing touches". (Formerly 6 lamps, each giving off 40 watts of heat = 240 Watts; Now 6 lamps, each only consuming 5 watts = 30 Watts) My wife no longer uses an electric fan to cool herself as she gets (more) beautiful.
