The specifications on the single bulb shows it is dimmable but the 3-pack specification says it is not dimmable. The reviews are confusing since some reviews say they are dimmable but others state they are not dimmable. Are the bulbs in the 3-pack dimmable or not?

Sorry, not dimmable. But I didn't have a need for a dimmer with these. The ones that are dimmable were much more expensive, and the lumens/wattage weren't good for my situation.

They have been working with my dim switch, without any strobing or humming. Compared to incandescent bulbs, however, I notice that they don't dim as much at a comparable dimmer settings (my dimmer switch does not dim all the way to blackness.)

Answer:
Indeed the packaging of the 3-pack bulbs I received indicate these are "Non dimmable." However, I did try dimming one using a dimmer that screws into a light socket. The bulb did dim to about half intensity before it went out. Although it did dim, I would NOT recommend using a dimmer with these since the manufacturer specifies they are non dimmable.

If you're using an electronic timer, it must be one designed specifically for "inductive loads" such as a fan motor, CFL, or anything with a transformer (e.g. LED light). Such timers have either a mechanical relay inside (which works like your light switch) or they have a phase delay in the gate circuit of the triac that electronically switches the timer.
Yes, you can "force" a non-complaint electronic timer to work by placing an incandescent bulb in parallel (same circuit) as your LED bulb to bias the triac on successfully; however, if that incandescent bulb later burns out, your LED bulb will start to blink and will eventually be damaged by the improperly biased triac in the timer. This means you can't use a timer to turn the light on and off. If you want the light to automatically come on at a certain time of day or night utilizing a timer this can not be done with this product.

Answer:
Hi Mike1,
Led lights operate at a very low voltage, timers do not have a ground and will allow some voltage to travel through the circuit even when shut off.
This small amount of voltage will cause the led bulbs to glow.
With standard bulbs, this small amount of voltage leak, will not effect the bulb and the light will remain off.

Just got my 3-pack and installed them into a floor lamp and noticed when I turned the lamp on, all 3 of the bulbs make a 'buzzing' sound. Is this normal for these particular bulbs? I have a few other LED bulbs (different brands and shapes) and they don't make any 'buzzing' noise.

40W Equivalent Soft White (3000K) G25 Non-Dimmable LED Light Bulb (3-Pack) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great replacement I had a kitchen table downlight fixture with incandescent bulbs. I switched to a Utilitech fluorescent G25 bulb, but they took too long to get to full brightness. Since I am slowly converting to LED I looked for a Cree bulb but was unable to find a Cree G25 bulb. I really like Cree and have more than 30 already. But since I have some TCP candelabra base bulbs in exterior fixtures that I've had good luck with, I tried these. I put one of these 40W LEDs next to a 60W fluorescent- these are ever so slightly whiter- but no difference in light output. Instant on, great light and if they do as well as the other TCPs I have I will be quite happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for our bathroom fixture I needed three decorative bulbs for our bathroom light fixture and these fit the bill just fine. It is a small bathroom and the light from these is more than adequate. I so love LED bulbs as compared to CFLs with their unreliable longevity. I dated these bulbs at install time, but I seriously doubt they are going to die before I get around to changing the bathroom fixture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love LED light bulbs! I got rid of all my incandescent light bulbs and have switched all of them to LED. I hate CFLs -- they are dim. These bulbs are so much brighter and don't get hot. Plus it should save me $ in my monthly electric bill. It is a win win. And they are to last for years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Lighting I used to only use three of the six incandescent light bulbs in my bathroom vanity light fixture. With my new LED globe lights from the Home Depot, I use all six lights as it is much brighter and less heat. I also placed these light in my master bathroom. My wife and I really appreciate the new lights versus the older incandescent light bulbs. We tried CFL bulbs at one time, but they aren't near as good as this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bright enough light but it's greenish I needed lights that don't throw off heat because of the way my lights are situated in the bathroom. I looked a long time and finally found these. The light is bright enough but it makes skin and hair look greenish. I had bulbs before that provided natural lighting and loved the light. With these, I don't have the heat but I had to trade light quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Far better than CFLs and pleasing color for bathroom use These LED bulbs replaced CFLs in our master bathroom. We find the light to be pleasing and expect the bulbs to last far longer than the CFLs they replaced. The LED bulbs produce far less heat and use less energy. If planning to use these bulbs in fixtures with shades, be sure to compare the bulb's dimensions to your light fixture. These bulbs have a larger diameter than 'normal' incandescent bulbs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from they buz, all 9 bulbs which we purchased Color was a perfect soft white, these 40w seemed brighter than the 60w bulbs they were going to replace. If you don't mind hearing a humming noise, then get them as they are a good deal. I ordered 3 3-packs when they first went on sale and eagerly awaited their arrival. I was quick to install them all. I then brought my wife to see them and the first thing she said was, is that them humming? At first I thought it might just be one of the bulbs so I checked each of them individually, all 9 of them, and if you listen for it you could clearly hear it. It was easy to hear them in the confines of the bathroom. In the openness of the dining room I had to stop and listen for them, but it was unmistakeably there and disappeared as soon as I unscrewed it. One bulb also had its screw installed crooked so it pointed to one side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed I found these bulbs in my local store as a "special buy" and bought one pack to check them out. Once installed in my bathroom lightbar, I was impressed with their response (unlike the cfl bulbs that take several tens of seconds to come up to full brightness) and low heat output. I checked for them every time I went back and was never able to find them in stock. After a couple of unsuccessful months looking for them locally, I decided to try finding them online. The shipment was sent and arrived quicker than expected, was packed well, and is exactly what I wanted. My only suggestion is to sell them in individual packs for something close to the individual cost of the 3-pack (i.e. I have an 8-bulb light bar and had to buy nine bulbs that may last 15 years - I'm not sure when I will need to use the last bulb). Also, by the way, I'm keeping my receipt just in case they don't last as long as expected. I'll update this post in 10 years to let you know.
