Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than the self proclaimed best! A great alternative to more expensive bulbs. Other manufacturers are trying so hard to look like incandescents that they come off as dingy and yellow. These bulbs are perfect for lamps as well as any fixture that has a shade or frosted glass because they are a crisp clean white color that is comparable to GE Reveal bulb (not yellow, not light blue, but white). Regular "warm white" (2700 kelvin) is a good color by itself but with a lamp shade or frosted/colored glass to illuminate through it ends out being even more yellow than a regular incandescent. These bulbs stay truer to their original color and will even seem brighter than they are simply because of the color. No hum, buzz, or hiss. The fact that they are dimmable makes them great and the fact that this is a 2-pack makes them even better! May 9, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good lumens, bad geometry The four bulbs I purchased are installed in the luminaire (fixture) and are working. The output (lumens) is good but there's a small problem with the geometry of the light distribution. The picture associated with this item shows a globe that would have output approaching omnidirectional. The bulbs I received bear no resemblance to the picture. The bulbs received have a hemispherical light output sometimes referred to as a "sno-cone." The total output serves my needs fine, but the cover over the fixture looks strange because of this sno-cone effect. The bulb received would do best in a "down-light" situation such as a ceiling recessed light. The color temperature appears to be in the 3000K range which is good, but the descriptions sometimes say 2700K which would be distinctly yellow. These 3000K bulbs have a pleasant color temperature appropriate for a bathroom, where they are. I gave the "Quality" specification five bars because they are working now, but only time will tell their length of service. I have learned that enclosed fixtures shorten the lifetime of LED bulbs by allowing the heat sinks to get hot and damage the electronic drivers. My bathroom fixture has an open back for ventilation so I hope they last a long time. If your application can benefit from a down-light geometry, these bulbs should work for you. December 24, 2013
