Personally, I prefer warmer bulbs for most applications, so these bulbs are noticeably cooler than the other (2700K - 3500K) lights in our house. There is slightly less light output toward the base of the bulb, but otherwise the side/front output is very even.
These 5000K cool white bulbs are slightly more efficient than TCP's 2700K bulbs, using 8.7w to produce 900 cool white lumens as compared to 9.8w to produce 800 warm white lumens. If you are lighting a kitchen, utility/laundry room, play room, garage, or similar area then these are great bulbs to produce a lot of cool light very efficiently.
Note that these are at the high end of light output for a 60w equivalent bulb, and I would actually say they are brighter than Philips 75w equivalent CFLs (rated as 1800 lumen).
I'll also add that I dropped one of these bulbs from a height of about 6' onto a hardwood floor, and not only did the bulb not shatter, but it still seems to work after the drop without any issues. Pleasant surprise!

I like these really bright light bulbs. They are like daylight. Iâm just waiting for all my CFL light bulbs to fail so I can replace them all with LED.

Just bought a new house and wanted to go green and use all LED lighting. I purchased these 6 packs of 60 watt LED bulbs at an amazing price special from Home Depot. Overall quality seems good so far. These bulbs are bright, just as bright as the regular light bulbs I replaced. I'm using the bright bulbs mostly in the garage and outdoors, but would go for the softer light for indoor use.

Take a look at the image of these next to my CFLs. They leave a bluish light that takes some getting used to. Not something you want to mix and match with other types of bulbs so a 6 pack is a good choice.
Having used CFLs for so many years I forgot how bright 60 watts is. They are quite bright.
They look very much like the old fashioned incandescent and feel well made.
Can be used in totally enclosed receptable.
If you use these in areas recommended by the Home Depot "How to choose a light bulb" section you should be satisfied.
