I have been purchasing LED bulbs for just over a year now, and these are hands down my new non-dimmable favorites for any general purpose use. Personally, I prefer warmer bulbs for most applications, and these are as warm and soft a light as any LED bulb I've used. There is slightly less light at the base of the bulb, but otherwise the side/front output is very even.
My one warning is that these are at the high end of light output for a 60w equivalent bulb, and I would actually say they are nearly identical to the Philips 75w equivalent CFLs they are replacing.
Also, these are slightly less efficient than TCP's 5000K bulbs, using 9.8w to produce 800 warm white lumens as compared to 8.7w to produce 900 cool white lumens. This energy consumption level is very close to that of CFLs, but the LED bulb lasts much longer and produces better light from the instant you turn it on, so still far preferable to any CFL.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by reb177 Great lighting but with one drawback
These bulbs provide excellent soft, bright lighting with no detectable noise. There are not 'blind' or 'dark' spots as with some LEDs, so lighting is virtually 'all around'. They are dimmable though I have no dimmer to test it.
However there is one issue that you must consider:
The circumference around the widest part of the bulb is greater than traditional incandescent bulbs. The circumference is 7.5 inches (diameter is 2.5 inches).
This means it might not fit in all lighting fixtures. I have very old recessed lighting in my basement and these bulbs will not if in them. Also, in my living room, I have a globed lighting fixture/fan and as you can see in the pictures (this bulb is on the left), it tilts the globe and a portion of it shows because it is larger.
For most lighting fixtures these are an excellent cost-effective and environmentally-friendly bulb.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Mark Good quality replacement for traditional and CFL bulbs
These bulbs replaced 60w equivalent CFLs, which were the old versions that took a second to turn on/warm up. These bulbs are soft white and appear to be just slightly brighter than the ones they were replacing. They turn on instantly and the bulb is cool to the touch. After just a minute turned on though, I noticed that the base of the bulb (the opaque plastic) was getting very warm. One bulb did not fit into the glass enclosure of a ceiling fan so it appears these might be just slightly longer/taller than traditional bulbs. You should also know that these are not recommended for dimmers. However, they fit in all other lamps and fixtures so I am happy getting rid of the mercury CFLs.

Good bulbs. They arrived Well packaged. As they are light bulbs, they are pretty easy to use with fairly simple instructions: take out your old bulbs (incandescent, CFL, what have you), screw these new LED bulbs in, forget about them for the next 20 years.
I used these to replace CFL bulbs. They are the same color temperature, but instant on. These bulbs use even less juice than my CFLs - 10W compared to 13W for the equivalent CFL.
There is a note on the box that says these are not dimmable. I do not have a dimmer switch installed (because I am coming from all CFL bulbs!), so I was not able to confirm that fact. I was surprised by that note on the box, however. I have always assumed all LED bulbs to be dimmable. These may be the exception.

The bulbs are great. They are 10w with a 60w equivalent but they don't give off heat like regular incandescent bulbs. They costs 85% less to operate than incandescent bulbs. The package said that operating costs per year is $1.18 based on 3-hours per day operation. At that rate, they should last 22 years! Yes, they are pricey to purchase upfront, but you will quickly recoup your costs. I replaced the lights over my bathroom mirror. They are great for putting on my make-up, especially during the summer when the old bulbs heated up the small bathroom and made it hard to apply makeup without using a fan. No more fan in required in hot Dallas while doing my make up. Guys, you wouldn't understand! :-) I am attaching a photo of the 6 bulbs in the light strip above the bathroom mirror.
