Customer Reviews

65W Equivalent Soft White (2700K) BR30 Dimmable LED Flood Light Bulb is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for a dimmable LED I bought this lamp to use in can lights in my family room as a substitute for the incandescent BR 30 floods that I have used for years. I was looking for a fairly wide beam spread, but there seems to be no beam spread data on any of the Home Depot lamps. I took a chance and since it was what I wanted I ordered more of them. At 10 watts, it saves 55 watts over the incandescent which means less heat gain in my Texas climate. Color temp is nice, a little closer to daylight than the incandescent. Also significantly brighter than incandescent at 650 lumens vs 485. Dimming is very smooth and no humming even at a low light level. Rated for 25,000 hrs, if it lasts 10,000 hrs it will have a cheaper life cycle cost than the incandescent not counting the money saved on cooling costs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't last Bought a couple of them at a NJ Clean Energy event at my workplace. Installed three in my kitchen and one of them stopped working in less than a week. That is a lot shorter than the 20+ years they are supposed to last. I like the light color and brightness of those still working (in my kitchen and elsewhere in the house) better that that of the Crees I have (which started flickering after a while) but I expect a little longer lifetime for the money I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Illumination from Ecofriendly Bulb We have had cfc's in our recessed lighting since we bought our home and it isn't great at illuminating and frequently has to warm up to get full illumination. I was pleasantly surprised to see the reasonable price on these LED replacements. I immediately put one in the fixture outside my coat closet and the brightness dramatically increased. I haven't been able to see well what was in that closet until now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best idea ever that may not be Considering changing all of my BR30 incandescent bulbs to LED started with six to try it out. Well I'm 30 days in and one of the new LED's has burned out. Says there is a 5 year warranty but really this is why I bought these, to eliminate continually changing bulbs and to save energy. I'm not giving up but not real happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good light Brighter and less yellow than the incandescents they replaced, but still reasonably soft. Dims about as well as any LED I've seen (and better than most CFL), but still not quite as low as incandescent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great lamps for recessed cans Changed out A19 incandescent lamps for these LED BR30's in the library recessed cans and boy what a difference. The light is whiter and brighter and more pleasing to the eyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works good. So far so good. They have some issues with the dimming but i think it's cause my dinner switches aren't rated for leds
