Our new home has 36 flood lights. To conserve energy and cut costs, we are slowly replacing all with LED lights while trying not to break the bank! This 2-pack is a great value. We ordered online and installed immediately. At first, I thought the light was a bot harsh, but it was just a change from the softer iridescent light that had been there originally. I have gotten used to the newer, brighter lighting and I really like them. We have already ordered more.

I was a bit apprehensive with the low sale price on these bulbs, but decided to give them a shot. I was tired of the long warm up time of the CFL bulbs in the hall. Replaced the first one with an LED which came on at full brightness immediately. The other two old CFLs took close to a minute to get to the same light intensity as the LED. I also realized that in time CFLs dim as they age so the same 65watt equivalent CFL does not emits the same amount of light as it did when new. This fact gives a huge advantage to the LED bulbs, even with their higher costs. As an added bonus, I think the quality of the light is better than the CFL when they are both rated as "soft light". The LED is just more pleasant, again more like the old incandescent bulbs.
These bulbs appear to be well made, they are heavy and appear to be solidly made. At over $10 each they should look like they are well made with high quality control. If they get the life span that is promised on the packaging, it was money well spent. They are also even more energy efficient than the CFL bulbs.
I am slowly (because of the cost) replacing the CFLs with these LEDs. Hopefully these LEDs in time will not have any negative traits like the CFL did over time. Another positive thing about these bulbs is when you turn on the switch they immediately come on. I have some other LED bulbs that have a maybe second delay before they turn on. It's not as annoying as the warm up time on the CFL bulbs, but more of a quirk. At any rate these bulbs do not do this, you flip the switch and they are on at full brightness immediately, just like the old, incandescent bulbs. These are the first LED bulb that I've found that is a true replacement for the old reliable incandescent that used too much electricity.
These are not dimmable bulbs, but since these are can lights in the hall not on a dimmer, I didn't see any reason to pay more for a feature that I wasn't using. From what I have read if you want to dim LED bulbs you need to purchase a dimmer that was made to dim LED bulbs.
Only real negative with these bulbs are the cost, but they are the most cost efficient LED flood light that I have found so far, and the advantages over the CFL technology justifies to me the added cost.

I put these 2 bulbs in my kitchen along with 4 other 65-W equivalent CFL bulbs (6 recessed light housing) and they look identical, except these turn on instantly and the CFL take about 10 seconds to be fully lite. Both light up as warm white and can't tell them apart when fully lite...I love it! Now there is instant light in the kitchen while the CFL are warming up. I'd swamp them all out but don't want to waste my CFL and these LED are still quite expensive!!
One thing: On the embedded video on the package, the video explains that these uses 12W...but the package says 10W. How would I ever know the difference?? Oh well.

I recently built a new house. It has a vaulted ceiling in the kitchen with 6 canned lights (floods) and one over the sink. I wanted to switch the regular floods to LED floods. They are anywhere from $20-30 each. I was buying one at a time when I received an email from HD. Sure enough they were having a sale on them @ 2 in a box, each box for $20. I ordered enough to finish my kitchen and saved $32. I am switching to LED inside and out of my house for longevity and savings. This was a great deal. And having retired from an electric power company, I know about energy savings.

These bulbs have excellent color and light output angle. These bulbs turn on right away. These are lightweight LED bulbs. These are 100 times better than CFL bulbs. I hate CFL bulbs. I will never buy CFL bulbs. These LED bulbs last ~5 times longer than CFL bulbs. LED Bulbs have no mercury. These bulbs use 10 watts of power each to give you 650 Lumens per bulb. These bulbs are light compared to other LED bulbs I have picked up.
These are not dimmable. Don't use it for with a dimmer. If you want dimmable ones then you need to get the higher model series ones that TCP makes.

I've looked around at a lot of bulbs. I tried out the Cree br30's and several other generic brands. They all have a similar 2700 warm white appearance. What makes these bulbs superior is the higher CRI. When comparing to the light given off by incandescents, the Cree and other generics seemed to cast a slight greenish, sickly light. To me, the light quality of the TCPs was indistinguishable from incandescent lights. Considering that these are the least expensive BR30s I have found to date, I am incredibly impressed with the quality. You may notice that these lights do appear about 25% brighter than incandescents. After adjusting, I find the extra light welcoming in my house, not to mention my lower electric bill.

TCP bulbs used to go under the name n:vision. I purchased a two pack of this model about 3 years ago for some indoor recessed lights. The one I did install didn't last longer than the other two that were in when I purchased my house 5 years ago. My package said last 7 years, now they are saying 22 years?
I strongly question the life of LED bulbs given I've had other premature blowouts for other LED models and uses. The additional hassle of disposing of these bulbs properly makes any energy savings seem hardly worth it.

As prices of the LED bulbs start to go down (this was on sale and pretty competitive with incandescent prices), these LED's start to look more attractive. I put about a dozen of these in recessed ceiling fixtures in my kitchen and master bedroom. The light they give off is indistinguishable from the 65W halogens they replaced. They burn bright and MUCH cooler than the halogens. Now if they really last as long as advertised, I'll be very happy! Overall a great bulb at a great (sale) price.
