Bulbs appear great with light consistent with other manufacturers of the same wattage. Construction feels solid.

The good news is that these bulbs were inexpensive, started fast, has good consistent color and light output. The bad new is that my 5th one out of the 6-pack just died all within 3-yrs of purchase.
I see that this light specific 6-pack has since been discontinued and replaced by another, hopefully the reason was quality.
TCP was good about replacing the previous 4. I'm not going to bother with the most recent fail or pending 6th. I'm just going to look elsewhere.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JohnS Look and fit very similar to existing incandescent bulbs.
LED bulbs are taking over. And screw-in bulbs are easy to install and use. These particular bulbs have a nice shape to them that make them easier to retrofit into older existing fixtures.
I used these on some rooms that had adjustable overhead cans with eyeball directional covers. They were used to highlight a fireplace or mantel or wall bookshelf. The existing bulbs were 65W incandescent. I replaced them with these LED bulbs.
The fit was good. From the outside, they look very similar to the bulbs that were replaced.
The real test was the light color. These have a 2700K index which is good for indoor use. Don't go above 3000K for indoor use. The color was very similar but not exact to the incandescents they replaced. The light distribution was a little bit different. My old bulbs were more of a Spot-style because of the application (highlighting a room feature). These are more of a flood-style so the light spreads out more. You will notice the minor difference in the photos.
Even my spouse likes them (and usually is not into these types of changes).
Overall a good retrofit for similar incandescent bulbs.
These are not dimmable, but I don't use dimmers anyway. And with the power consumption so low, I like to leave them on a lot more now. Dimming seems unnecessary.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dcmikez excellent value for nice soft white lights
These are great floods. They have a wonderful soft white light and I haven't had any issues with them. They look much better than the incandescents my electrician installed and although they're 65w equivalent, they're slightly brighter than a 65w incandescent bulb.
They are not dimmable. Right now, you can't beat the value on these, but you are forced to buy six of them at a time.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by fuscia Good Replacement, but still a little too bright
To be far, I do have some 65 watt recess bulbs that are brighter than other brands, even though the are all 65w. I'm just some one who is really light sensitive, so when you have 4 can lights in an 8 foot ceiling, the effect can be like an interrogation. I do like the thought of using these in summer, when my regular can lights make the kitchen kinda hot, then switch back in winter to the incandescent to help keep the house warm. If they where just a little dimmer, and softer they would be perfect. There's something about the light, that's still a little harsh. To be realistic about the true savings of LEDs, 1 incandescent bulb can burn for 10 hours and only cost me 8 cents, according to my utility. But, if you have a lot of can lights, using LEDs can help keep your house cooler, and more comfortable in the summer. That's the part I'm interested in. I took the temperature of one of my can lights with an incandescent, and it was 215 degrees. I took the temp of one of these TCP lights, and it was around 90 degree. Plus, the bulb doesn't ever get too hot to touch, or start a house fire. So I like the idea of these, they just need a little more tweaking to match the warmth of incandescent. I'm wondering, since they don't get hot, if I could spray some matte spray paint over them to help make them a little softer?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LEDFanforlife Perfect Replacement for Incandescent
This bulb seems to give off slightly more light than the bulbs I replaced. I like that the light output is extremely similar to the old bulbs. I still haven't seen a full utility bill since replacing all of my incandescent bulbs, but I'm expecting significant savings.

I will be using these bulbs in a business and I'm changing all my regular flood bulbs to led. So far they are really good lights!
