Ordered this product instead of the iHome product because it looked to be a little less money for the customer to expand as they want to. I had some problem getting the signal established from the lamps to the gateway but once the customer added a wifi extender in the home it all worked great. We used the lamps in an outdoor pavillion behind the home and they wanted to control the lighting from their phones and it dies just that.

Installation was quick and easy. Once you have the app installed it only takes a few minutes to figure out how to control your lights and groups. Currently I have 4 of the spot floods in my living room and 12 of the regular shaped light bulbs in various rooms throughout my house. The network bridge connects directly to your home router via an Ethernet cable. Then your home wifi connects to the lights though the network bridge. Each light acts as a mesh network chaining together to form a light control network. Kind of like the links in a chain. This way each light increases the range of the network throughout your house.
Installation took me only about 5 minutes
Light control setup only takes about 5 minutes
The app allows you to control the lights when you are home or away. No service fees

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by duncan2k Range limitations of TCP lights to gateway
This device creates a private wireless network to control the light bulbs you purchase for this system. The problem is that the wireless network it creates does not have great range. If the bulbs are out of range you can't control them. So you have to plug this somewhere in the middle of your house (please note it attaches to your home network with a hard wire, not wifi).
This lighting solution would be more interesting if it leveraged your existing home wifi network, to control your lights, or powerline networking where the control signals to the light are sent over the power wiring itself.
I have found this product a great concept, but poorly executed. The support information on the wireless gateway itself is missing, and there is no troubleshooting information on the website beyond basic setup.
