Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Installed on October 2014 I wanted to be rid of flashing bulbs and always changing out bulbs so I looked into LED bulbs for replacement. These retrofit bulbs were easy to install. It took less then an hour to change out the three bulbs from start to finish. Simple unhook the power wires remove the ballast and the bulb connectors. Install the new bulb connectors. Wired one end into the power leads. Switched the lights back on and bright as day. The only drawback is they are not dimmable. There are times I find them too bright and would like to turn them down. But when working in the kitchen the brightness is very welcomed. October 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Let there B light! Excellent light output, very good Color Rendering Index (CRI), no buzzing, easy installation, very long life, good improvement in efficiency, instant on at any temperature.... what more is there to crow about? Oh, did I mention the fact that the lights are perfect for intermittent use? We bought (14) of these bad boys for use in the garage overhead lighting. The old T12 lights took a beating because they were always being switched on and off constantly. They burned out rapidly and always hummed/ buzzed. And, during the winter, even the electronic ballasts couldn't get them going quick enough. Now, problem solved. Solid, powerful light output with a flick of a switch. Bonus prize: Toggled are made in the USA. Not cheap, but well built. December 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Light I have 2x 8-foot linear shop lights in my standard 2-car garage. I like bright light, so I have been using Philips Alto 32-watt 6500K 48" fluorescent tubes. Even with 8 total bulbs, I wasn't getting the kind of light I wanted. Additionally, I was tired of the bulbs wearing out so quickly (I've been through over 20 bulbs in 5 years). After reading others' reviews and seeing the Toggled display at my local Home Depot, I decided to take a chance on these bulbs. I bought 4 bulbs, enough for one fixture, to see how they would work. The retrofit instructions were fairly easy to understand, but not fool-proof. My fixture had shunted lampholders, and I chose not to render the fixture incapable of ever being used for fluorescent bulbs again, so my retrofit took a bit longer than usual. Instead of using the existing ballast wiring, I bought solid core 14AWG wire, which fit perfectly into the new lampholder wire sockets. After completing the wiring, I put one bulb in the fixture to test my job and was absolutely amazed. Literally, one 5000K bulb was producing more, and brighter, light than my other fixture of 4 fluorescent bulbs. These bulbs are rated for 2180 lumens each, but produce more light than the fluorescents' rated 2850 lumens. Needless to say, I am extremely pleased and will be purchasing more. They are a bit pricey, but if they last as long as the other LED bulbs I currently use in my house, they will be well worth the investment. My only disappointment is that they are only sold online. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent Bright LED option my wife wanted the brightest white lights in her kitchen, I was replacing florescent tubes yearly to keep the light to her level of expectation. the Toggled 23 watt were just the ticket and upgrading was easy. eliminating the ballast was a positive in my opinion so with new sockets included I opted to run all new wiring instead of scavenging the wire from the old ballast. light output is better than any of the old lights we had tried and expectation for longevity is high - without the need of yearly bulb changes we will both be happy. glad I went with the toggled 23 watt March 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific light Bright, white light. Conversion of fluorescent fixtures was easy, merely cut existing wires to the ballast and connect to the tombstones. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 48 inch T8 23-Watt Natural Light (5000K) The 5000K is a bright white light. In the Arizona room (12 x 21) I replaced six 48 inch fluorescent with four LED's and the room seems brighter. March 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Let there be light! I bought these to replace my fixtures in my barn....they work great and are really bright. The retrofit took less than 5 minutes and when turned on they take less than a second to come more warming up in the cold! October 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best alternative lighting I purchased 8 of these bad boys and easily retrofitted my old fixtures with ballasts according to the easy to read/understand instructions enclosed in the box. One thing you will not notice at first glance of these lights is these actually eliminate the use of a ballast. Which in the long run saves me tons of headache. With proper usage, these led lights should outlast anything my old fluorescent lights and ballasts could ever dream of. Not to mention they're BRIGHT! I highly recommend LED Tube lights to anyone who would like to upgrade their old outdated fluorescent lighting. April 2, 2014
