The door is perfect for what we needed in our home- we had moved into a house with an odd sized opening to the master bath - 57" rough opening, framed opening ended up being 55". With the door installed and closed you can see about 3 or 4 inches of the door overlap but it looks just fine, can barely tell through the frosted glass. By luck the finish on the door is the same color as the other doors in our room. However, on one side of the door the metal sliding pieces aren't covered and are very noticeable. Would be perfect for a closet but it looks a little funny in the bathroom. Also, the finish comes off extremely easy. We put the doors up and then had to lay them back into the box they came in until we finished a project and when we looked at them again to put them up, the finish came off in many spots just from the cardboard.

I replaced a small closet type door and side shelves of my pantry with the Cherry grand sliding door. Not only did it give me more access to my pantry it looks very nice in the hallway. In fact, I am replacing the same closet type door and side shelves in my linen closet with the same sliding door.

This is the third set of these doors I have ordered and had installed. The look is nice (once repaired; see below). Each of the last 2 shipments has arrived badly damaged. The second set of doors was badly scratched, and our handyman had to install them backwards to disguise the scratches. The last set arrived with the bottom corners crushed. The only reason we kept these damaged products is because it would have been more costly to pay our handyman to transport them back to Home Depot than for him to repair or disguise the damage. I will not order more of these doors.

We used these for sliding doors in our coat closet in the vestibule and they are real show-stoppers! We installed a different model of these (we special ordered them, took about 14 days to arrive in the store). These are good quality, heavy duty doors, and they weigh a ton - I mean, a ton - get ready to grunt and groan if you pick them up from the store. But the price was very reasonable. Wah! Made in China! I wish we made these in the USA! But the other companies I priced that carry similar products cost two-three times more than these and we just couldn't afford it. Anyway, my only advice is to watch the height on the install - the info says 80" but with the rolling brackets the height is more like 81". Also, the cherry finish is darker than the photo. Other than that we couldn't be happier with the quality and the appearance of the doors. Thanks Home Depot!

Despite claiming that these doors are the 80 X 60 standard needed to replace sliding doors on your average closet they are NOT! The doors are shorter by a FULL 1 1/2 inches and wider by an astonishing 5 INCHES! This creates a space underneath the doors in existing construction of almost 2 inches depending on your flooring or carpet. It also creates a side to side OVERLAP of almost 5 inches which in turn throws you off center and makes the glass panels look uneven. If you choose to use a top spacer of a 2 X 4 you will then have the track showing all along the length of the door. The MFG MUST have known he had a problem since they enclosed an 80'' trim strip. If used it just seems to hang in mid air. A professional installer was astonished that all product available stilled claimed these doors met the conventional 80H X 60W standard when in fact they were not even close!

We placed this set of sliding doors in between our front living room and dining room where there used to be pocket doors. We had a set of drapes hanging there to block the living room in order to save on heating and cooling costs for a room we rarely use. Our dogs kept pulling them down when they played & we didn't want to rip out the two side walls in order to install a set of very expensive pocket doors so this was a better alternative. They look sleek, clean and expensive. However, they are cheap laminate and over priced for the material quality. Should be $169, not $299. Easy to install and do a good job saving on heating/cooling costs compared to the drapes and they look good so we are happy. Now I can create a craft room and keep the dogs out.
