Ask yourself this question. I expect that it is simply low demand as this screw has special applications. I use it for fastening one-inch thick exterior trim boards to the outside of my home because my home is constructed using Insulating Concrete Forms(ICF). The forms are of 2.5-inch polystyrene that stays in place after the concrete exterior walls are poured. For such construction, nailers are generally lacking for reliably fastening of wide trim at corners and door/window openings. I also envision use of this screw for fastening through thick plastic foam insulation for certain roofing applications such as for attachment of flashing nailers. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Hex-Head design sells me I have a home constructed with all exterior walls of four and eight inch thickpoured concrete with ICF (insulating concrete forms). The forms are of 2.5-inch thick polystyrene which has essentially no holding power for screws. Vertical cedar corner boards for the siding and the cedar trim boards around windows are working loose after twelve years. I hammer drill through the boards, the polystyrene and into the concrete to fasten the cedar trim boards using this concrete anchoring product. It works very well. I tried other fasters with Phillips screw heads finding that the Phillips heads stripped before the fasteners could be fully driven. This hex-head screw product withstands considerably more torque without the issue of stripping out. I had trouble finding this fastener in quantities less than 100, The Home Depot stocking it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryobi 18/40 volt pole saw I use the pole saw with a 40 volt battery and think it's a great value for the price. I'm very impressed with Ryobi's 40 volt line up and also own the blower, hedger, and string trimmer which I also recommend. The batteries are interchangeable. The convenience is unparalleled over gas powered or corded units. Since this is an electric machine operating on battery power I would strongly encourage the 40 volt system over the 18 volt although I think it's supposed to run on 18 as well. The only draw back I've seen thus far is the chain tension screw which could be better placed and more accessible but is not a deal buster and would have given it 4.5 stars for this if it were an option. If you have never run a chainsaw (which this essentially is on a pole) it does require oil as a chain lubricant and must be checked periodically if not frequently. Although relatively light, please note that this tool isn't for every one meaning that if you plan on trimming limbs very high it requires a certain amount of shoulder strength so women particularly should take this into consideration. Hope this helps. May 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Right Product for the Job We needed a fastener to attach 4" rigid insulation to a CMU wall. The 5" tapcons worked very well. June 10, 2014
