Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD ITEM!! GREAT PURCHASE!! THESE TAPCON 3/16" 1-1/4" CONCRETE ANCHORS OR SCREWS WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL THEM WORK GREAT ON BRICK I ALSO PURCHASED THE 5/32" x 3 -1/2" TAPCON DRILL BIT TO MAKE THE PERFECT SIZE HOLES WHERE THESE SCREWS FIT NICE AND FIRM THEY WORK GREAT TOGETHER DIRECTIONS SAY TO USE A HAMMER DRILL BUT I USED A REGULAR DRILL AND IT WENT RIGHT THROUGH THE BRICK JUST APPLY SOME PRESSURE INWARD WHILE YOU ARE DRILLING THE HOLES AND YOU'LL BE FINE. MAKE SURE YOUR DRILL IS CHARGED FULLY TO GET SOME GOOD POWER.ONCE THE HOLE IS DRILLED PUT THE SCREW IN AND SCREW IT IN WITH THE DRILL SLOWLY IF YOU MADE THE HOLES CORRECTLY THE SCREWS WILL SLIDE IN LIKE BUTTER USING THE CORRECT PHILLIPS TIP OBVIOUSLY AND THAT'S IT! .. I DID ABOUT 6 HOLES TO MOUNT SOME WATER HOSE REELS AND SOME MAILBOXES AND DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM. P.S THE 5/32" x 3 -1/2" TAPCON DRILL BIT YOU WILL FIND IT IN THE NAILS AND SCREWS SECTION WITH THE OTHER TAPCON ITEMS AND NOT IN THE DRILL SECTION August 26, 2012
