correct screw for shower rehab

Are these the proper ones to do the job? I am redoing my shower in the basement and need to fasten some backer board to my basement wall.
Asked by: Rich
Hi Casey54, unfortunately those are not the screws. Take a look at the link below. These screws are designed for backer board.

Customer Reviews

3/16 in. x 1-1/4 in. Phillips-Flat-Head Concrete Anchors (75-Pack) is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Incorrect drill bit supplied the drill bit supplied with the packet I purchased was the incorrect size. It is stamped the recommended 5/32 however the shank measures 5/32 but the cemented tip is larger, almost the same 3/16 as the screw. I do recommend this product but do double check the drill size before drilling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works ok the drill bit that comes in the pack is to big and does not allow the screw to hold properly i bought the next size drill bit smaller and it worked perfectly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Follow the instructions! Use the recommend concrete bit and hole depth and you will do just fine. The hex head is easier to turn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy Tapcon Screws! I have tried several different sizes of Tapcon concrete screws and they all have the same problem, they easily twist off in the hole rendering it useless. They must use some cheap Chinese metal in their construction. You MUST stop BEFORE the screw is all the way in or it will twist off.
