Customer Questions & Answers

What diameter holes does this bit create? Exactly 5/32" diameter? All holes I drilled were too big and tapcons didn't hold.

When Attaching some Aluminium Nose Trim on my Tiled/Concrete Steps...I suspected to have a Similar problem, so for Insurance? I added some HD 3x Loctite Or Liquid Nails Adheasive for Concrete & Metal to the Tapcon Screws and I also Put the Adhesive on the Metal that was being attached to the Concrete.. Its been 2 yrs now and So far so good.. For something more important to secure? I would use both the Tapcon, Adheasive and Anchors..like for everyother Hole of ea. type..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good bits for the price These bits are great. You need to have a decent drill to drive them. I tried them with a large but inexpensive hammer drill and all it did was dull the bits. Switched to my Milwaukee 12V hammer drill and these worked great. They need a little pressure in my experience and seem to cut better when they're hot. But don't cook them. I do 1/2 an inch, and let it cool off for a few seconds then another 1/2 inch. These bits slow down when they hit rebar in the concrete, but will go through with some patience. They are good for maybe 15 1.5" deep holes, or 22" in good, reinforced concrete. But for what they cost, you can't expect much more. They outperform similar Bosch bits I have purchased, which are 2x the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use only with a hammer drill I bought a 75-pak of 1-3/4 FH Tapcon screws, and the cheapest hammer drill on the shelf. I drilled holes for all 75 screws with the same bit. Tapcon's recommendation for a hammer drill is really a requirement. Without a hammer drill, the bit will just spin and burn up on the 1st hole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from lasted 4 holes This does not work on concrete block -- at least not with a regular drill (may have better luck with a hammer drill). After 4 holes the bit was useless -- polished smooth. I need a new bit -- and won't buy this brand again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drilled one hole and then it did not work anymore Junk, Does not work as advertised. Tapcon screws and bits have not worked for me. Used in hammer drill as per directions, it drilled one hole and then would not drill anymore. Tapcon screw did fit in hole

Rated 1 out of 5 by from drilled one hole and bit was worn out this drill bit is one of the lowest quality I have ever used, out of the package it had a very noticeable run out and the carbide tips were so poorly welded into the tip that I had to clean the weld material away from leading edge of bit to start.
