Have tried several different adhesive's and this one is easier to work with and seems to get the job done .just wish they stocked this in the store so i didn't have to order it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Buck best product for glue down flooring
This is the best product I have used for glueing down 3/8 solid wood and 3/8 engineered flooring. Best price per sq ft than anything out there

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ShaunDTO5150 My #1 choice
I'm a flooring contractor and all I do is hardwood. I use this product to glue end rows and fasten areas that may require top nailing, so I don't have to top nail at all. I also use it for glue down floors, when a vapor barrier is not necessary. This is great glue and significantly cheaper. It's my # 1 choice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by meema Easy to work with
We ordered 3 of the 4-gallon containers. The last one we opened contained an attachment for a trowel in the size that was recommended on the product. There were no indications that this was provided, so we used something we purchased that spread the product thicker than what was needed; still it worked well. Also, the first can we opened was thick, as though it had sat around too long in a warehouse. The second and third cans were easier to spread. I'd choose to never do a glue-down floor again, but I'd recommend the product for anyone considering to do this.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RenoRanch Soupy and hard to apply without making a mess.
The adhesive has the viscosity of pancake batter and runs off of the trowel. I found impossible to apply to the floor without making a mess. I ended up applying it to the bottom side of the flooring material with a 2" putty knife, like buttering toast. As long as it has not dried, it cleans up with warm water, no problem. After it dries, it is like old chewing gum, which is great for flooring underlayment but, it requites Taylor #9 solvent to remove it. Guess what, Home Depot does not stock the solvent! I could not find the solvent anywhere, even on line. After experimenting with every solvent in my garage I discovered that De-Solv-it citrus solution works great and does not damage the finish.

Taylor 2071 4-Gal
Put down 400+ sqft of engineered oak flooring over concrete slab in Arizona home. Moisture test and floor leveling was within limits. Decided to try Taylor 2071 vs Taylor MS Plus on formal dining room based on cost. The 2071 adhesive gave me approximately 15 minutes before film started to form. Adherence is excellent and once dry, very strong, solid.
Pros: Fast shipping via UPS and product cost. Product received was easy to apply/pour and spread. Adhesive was very tacky and after several minutes, was able to lightly walk on laid flooring without any movement (use common sense). Coverage was estimated at 65/70 sqft per gallon.
Cons: Had to order online vs picking up at local store. While drying, adhesive is very tacky (unlike Taylor MS Plus) and seems to get on everything. Once dry, glue becomes extremely hard to remove off tools and floor just like other urethane adhesives. Adhesive only comes in 4 gallon buckets.
Overall I would use this product again. It is a very good, strong adhesive. If you are comfortable laying flooring, go for it. If you are starting out or your first floor, I would recomend the Taylor MS Plus just based on the ease of cleaning. See my review of MS Plus.
