Since this is an online order product we want to order this for our remodeling project only if it is approved for putting wood flooring on a concrete foundation.

Yes. I used Taylor MS on my concrete floor and it worked perfectly. Be sure that your concrete is properly prepared (clean and level).

Honestly I would have to go re-read the bucket, but I have seen several reviews where people claimed to use it directly on concrete with great success.

I have always used Uzin adhesives (a German company), and there is no comparison when it comes to the tenacity of the bond or the overall strength of the cured product. I tried MS Plus recently on a solid wood floor, and I'm hoping I don't have to worry about its long-term stability. Unless it's too late and you've installed the floor already, I'd recommend Uzin products... they're more expensive and a little harder to find, but definitely worth it. Read Less

MS Plus 4-gal. Advance Wood Flooring Adhesive is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST GLUE! Installed 1800 sq ft of engineered wood for my parents with Roberts 1408 glue and it was a giant pain to work with. Even after OCD cleaning with mineral spirits as we went, it still left permanent residue on the flooring. My husband and I tried this Taylor glue when we installed our own flooring this week (2000 sq ft) and it is hands down superior! Almost no odor, easy to work with, no mess... Its perfect! Have never been more compelled to write a product review... Please learn from our "trial and error" and go with this product. Or at least avoid that Roberts junk at all costs. This stuff is worth every penny. So glad we found it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bamboo flooring adhesive Product is easier to use than others, especially for cleanup. The cost is still real steep at $150 for 4 gallons. Make sure to do a lot of flooring at once so you only have to open it 2-3 times. When exposed to air, it gets lumpy and non tacky. Need to also put the clear plastic topper on the very top of the adhesive when resealing it. You also need to get very good coverage on majority of board. It is not some some adhesive where it just needs it in a few spots. Not as adhesive and sticky as most glues but then not as messy either.

This adhesive is much easier to work with than the adhesive that home depot carries in stock. Trowels out easier and isn't near as sticky as the stock adhesive. when it dries it is just like rubber and easy to clean. The only down side is if you are going to take a break or stop for awhile be sure to put the plastic cover that comes with it back in and push it down all the way, the glue will start to set up after a bit if it is left exposed, just putting the lid back on isn't enough. This is the only l reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Overall I would highly recommend this over the other stock brand,. Had to order it and took a week to get but well worth it compared to working with the stock brand. I have put down about 800 sq feet of flooring over the last couple of years and won't use anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Adhesive This adhesive is amazing. I used it for a hardwood install on a subfloor. It was so easy to use and pretty easy clean up. And does it hold - make sure you are ready! I had one board slighlty off of its tongue and groove and it was hard to pick back up but I did it with a little elbow grease. The floor looks great and I am very pleased with the product. I wish it was sold in 5 gal instead of 4 gal because I did need 5gal but it's ok.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Probably works ok, but I prefer Uzin Taylor MS Plus seems to work ok, but I have some reservations. First, I should note that while I have installed many hardwood floors, the plank floor I'm currently working on is my first time using this product, so my experience with it is limited to just the past few days. But Home Depot asked, so I thought I'd provide some feedback on my impressions. This particular floor is a 4" wide hickory plank floor, with planks up to 7' long. I always glue and nail solid wood hardwood floors, and I have used Uzin adhesives on these installations for many years. My belief is that there is no better flooring adhesive than Uzin (and I really liked the older MK97 best), but it's getting to be almost $200 a pail, so I thought I'd try Taylor's MS Plus which costs a little over half that amount. The Taylor product goes on easily, and it's easy to work with as long as you keep the process going. It certainly remains flexible when cured the way it's supposed to. It adheres pretty well, but definitely not as well as Uzin. It is nowhere near as tacky going on, which could actually be a good thing since it's easier to handle, but it also comes off easier when cured. In general, it's just not as tough... it will tear or peel off without too much trouble after curing, where the Uzin adhesive takes a whole lot more effort to remove (both wet and dry). I've had the experience of having to remove a 3' long x 5" wide plank the next day that was stuck down with Uzin... the plank came up in toothpicks. It may be that MS Plus holds very well in tension as opposed to shear, but I suspect it will fail before the flooring or substrate (unlike Uzin). Taylor's less tenacious hold would concern me more if I were putting down wider planks on this job, but hopefully it's sufficient to handle any moisture-induced movement of these narrower boards. It also skins over pretty quickly, so you really need to create a good seal over leftovers in the pail at the end of the day. Simply sealing the container won't do it, although the Uzin product would also skin over, albeit more slowly since it has a longer curing time. When wrapping up for the day, I use a piece of waxed paper placed directly on top of the glue, and run a finger around the perimeter to establish a seal to the sides of the container. You can also use the inner seal that came with it, but I find that harder to work with as the pail begins to narrow. Then the container top goes on. The next day, I remove the waxed paper and place it with glue face up on a few sheets of newspaper, which allows me to scrape the glue off the waxed paper and use it. The bottom line for me is that it was an interesting experiment and it's probably ok, but I'll spend the extra money next time to get an adhesive that I have 100% confidence in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This product is awesome. One thing I like is it does not have any smell. So you can move in right after installing the floor without suffer any odor. It defiantly great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and clean up Easy to spread, moisture cured so the more moisture in the air the less time you have to work with it. DON'T wash off with water...makes a mess. Wipe it off anything, including hands, with a dry cloth (paper towel) larger messes peel up easily once it's dried. Remainder doesn't cure quickly in the bucket, but I found covering the top directly with saran wrap would bring up the thin skin with it so no little chunks are floating in the good glue. Would recommend this product and buy it again. It does expand a little when it dries, so dried flooring will be a little higher than new stuff you're installing the next day, wasn't that big of a deal.
