Customer Questions & Answers

Can I use this product on color dyed cement (not stained) after it is set a day or two or should the cement cure for 30 days?

Asked by: SAM
NanoPave JSS is not the correct product for this application. After allowing the concrete to cure, it recommended to use NanoPave Concrete Sealer to add a color enhancing protectant coating. For more information, please review the installation guides and FAQ section for each product available on the manufacturer website.

5-gal. NanoPave JSS Gloss 2-in-1 Joint Stabilizer and Sealer Bottle is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Restored a brick paver patio with NanoPave JSS & UltraMix Sand I had a small brick paver patio that was looking pretty bad because of moss build up and staining from oak leaves. I used a pressure washer to clean the bricks off and blow most of the old polymeric sand out of the joints. After letting it dry out for a day, I used two different colors of UltraMix Paver Joint Sand to match the interior brick paver color and the perimeter block color. One of the colors was Brick Red and the other was Charcoal Plum. I used the red exclusively in the interior area and then blended the red with the charcoal plum on the outside edges - it looks really cool! Applying NanoPave JSS was pretty straightforward, I used a 1-gallon pump sprayer but I also bought a foam rubber squeegee to even the liquid out on the surface. If you spray the JSS liquid on evenly (almost like painting with a spray can), it goes on in decent time. Some of my joints were between a 1/4" and 1/2" on average so I applied at roughly 80 square feet per gallon. It did seem like I needed to focus the spray into the joints at times too once they started to drink up the liquid. The squeegee is probably the easiest part because it helped spread the liquid evenly where I accidentally over applied. Aside from the pressure washing, the whole project took me about 4 hours and the end result looked fantastic. The gloss finish is notable, but not like a wet look, and the UltraMix Sand looks beautiful compared to the ugly grey polymeric sand I had in there before. All in all, good product and easy to use. The sand is a little expensive, but everything together was less than a dollar per square foot to do it myself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Applies easily. Didn't get the gloss effect. Joint stabilizer not great. This seemed like a great solution for my project. I built a patio using large odd-shaped pavers, with sand in the joints. The joints were about 1/2 inch wide. The pavers were made of some composite material. Could be concrete, but the were made to look like stones. They look like sandstones with a flat, but rough, surface. I used the right amount (according to the directions and the tech support guy). I applied 5 gallons to a 12 by 30 foot patio. I applied it in 2 coats, several days apart. I live in Florida, and it was around 75 degrees both days. It looked great when wet, but when it dried, it dulled considerably, to the point where it looked like it did before the application. As far as joint stabilizing, it did make the sand stick together, but when the dew drips off the roof onto the patio, that is enough to make holes in the sand. So it's a great idea, and it applies easy, but it doesn't work with the materials I used.
