What is the gauge size (thickness) of the mesh itself. Is it rigid like galvanized steel HW cloth?

Asked by: George
Moderate thickness-- plastic. No metal or cloth. It bends easily but does not hold shape. I used it to re enforce gaps in a fence to keep my dogs from getting out. I chose to fold it over and make it more sturdy (double strength) just in case. I think it would have been fine without being folded over but my dog is very clever.

Will this netting be good to keep away ground chuck and rabbits from nibbling on the backyard vegetable garden?

I have a backyard vegetable garden along the sides of my house. Ground chucks and the like, keeps on nibbling on every piece of vegetable crops. It wouldn't be a problem if they are eating it off for food, but they nibble and move to the next one. I see they dig holes on the ground to use as their home. So i am wondering if they could gnaw a hole through this to get access to the vegetable if i put it around to use as fencing to keep them off. Also, will it stand serious gust of wind? I live in a subdivision which was once a cattle ranch and where the wind is always coming from is a wide open field as far as you can see. Which one would be best to use, the 1/4 x 1/4 mesh or the 1/2 x 1/2 mesh? Please answer as the seedlings are growing fast and i need the fencing done as soon as possible. God bless

3 ft. x 15 ft. Plastic Black Hardware Net is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product, but not the length claimed I was using this to childproof our deck. It seems ideal, strong but easy to cut with scissors, the right size to protect small hands, but without sharp edges. The only problem, and its a big one, the roll is 1.5 ft shorter than the label claims. So the piece I have left is too short to be useable when it should have been more than large enough. A few inches short of 15 ft would be one thing, 1.5 ft short is just plain false advertising. And of course I didn't discover the problem until it was too late and it been cut. A pity because otherwise it was good.
