Answer:
I did lots of reading online before I made my drapery panels. The HGTV site recommended a ring/clip 6 to 8 inches apart. Each of my panels without pinch pleats was 54" wide, and I had a clip at each end so I used 10 with 6 inches between on each panel. I could have put them 8 inches apart and used 8.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I was looking for I wanted a drapery ring to permanently attach to my drapes so I can easily open and close the drape on a 1" round rod. These work well and I like the finish, which matches the rod. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not Disappointed My niece found these on line and told me about them. I ordered them and was not disappointed. They were what I needed to hang drapes in my dinning room. This product gives you a more formal look when hung, just what I was looking for. December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Product great, but package short This was the only place I could find the rings with grommets. They were exactly what I needed and worked out great. The only problem was that I ordered two packs of 12 and one pack only had 10. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally rings with grommets! They are the only large diameter rings with grommets that I've been able to find, anywhere. Everything else out there only has clips... not my thing. They feel sturdy and look great with my drapes on a thick antique bronze double rod. I picked one set in store, and I had ordered a couple other online. As with any online order from Home Depot that ships to home: the packaging is terrible. Don't ever, ever, order anything remotely fragile from them. June 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE Them These were the answer to my prayer. I have pinch-pleat drapes on a traverse rod for my french door in bedroom and I wanted to be able to use the same pinch-pleat drapes for the window that did not use a traverse rod, just regular rod. And it worked out perfectly. They are heavy and and well made. The color was a perfect match to my rod and well. The only negative is that it was very annoying that the shipping was 50% the cost of the rings themselves. would recommend product, but its not fair about the shipping cost. August 21, 2010
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poorly made These rings look great and were the perfect size but the clip mechanism is weak (they are holding up unlined thin drapes) and some of the clips let the fabric slip off even after hanging it with all the rings. The drapes are up and holding but I am afraid to close them as any movement may result in the fabric slipping out of the clips and falling to the floor. December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality Great product, good looking, comparable in looks and quality to well known drapery hardware and best value I found after much searching. March 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is beautiful Easy to hang and very modest....also very sturdy. Definately will be ordering some more. December 10, 2013
