Can you make the template available online?

When I bought this product, it did not have the template included. I will return it for another one but it would be handy to be able to print it at home instead of driving to the store, again.

As other reviews noted the posts are extremely low quality and can break (where it screws into the number) so you shouldn't buy these online, only if you have a HD close and can exchange if you have a bad one. No idea how they will stand up to rust over time but they look good once they are up. Giving 3 stars as it is 3-4x the price to buy higher quality (aluminum) ones elsewhere so for the price they are decent even considering the post break risk. I did 16 numbers (4 numbers on 4 units) and only had one post break (mainly as I was being extra careful given the reviews) and that one was warped so it needed to go back anyway. I recommend only tightening them by hand until flush and at most doing a very slight turn with a wrench (16th of a turn) if you want it further. Given quality control issues you will find some that screw in by hand easily and others that have paint in the threads that may be difficult to get started and require a wrench to get in. Just make sure you stop when it is flush or close to it. If you are going to do the stand-off, I'd recommend a 3/16th bit (at most 7/16th) as 1/4 is way to big and is likely only recommended to allow for larger amount of error on drilling. 3/16th still has a bit of wiggle room and you can 'saw' at a side of a hole with your bit if you need to move it slightly one way or another. Just get it dead center with the template and use the 3/16th to drill a 1/4" in and then do a test fit and finish the hole. No idea why they mention drilling a pilot hole with a 1/8th" bit first as it isn't needed. If mounting on siding, make sure you 'wiggle' your drill vertically to allow for the fact that you aren't going in exactly straight, they will sit at the angle of the siding, so you will want a little bit of play to the back of the hole to allow for the likely imprecise angle you'll make the hole. If you are doing flush, you may just want to skip the drilling and posts entirely and just use caulk on the mount areas and tape it in place to dry. If you want to drill, I'd cut or break off the back piece so you don't have to drill so pointlessly deep. Probably use a smaller bit than recommended as well.

The screws are made of plastic and will snap when you try to use them. The mounting instructions are incorrect and the template they provide for mounting doesn't even match up with the number! Whoever is in charge of Quality Assurance for the "Hillman Group" should be fired. I have been a loyal Home Depot customer for many years, please do yourself and your customers a service by taking this product off of your shelves!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY Mounting hardware is cheap and breaks and directions are incorrect for mounting. I now have caulk filled oversized holes on vinyl siding at the main focal point of my house. HANDS DOWN WORST PRODUCT EVER!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money The mounts these are sold with are some kind of compressed aluminum screw and every single one snapped in half or off at the base. I dropped one on my linoleum kitchen floor and two of the screws shattered. Literally shattered. And the rest broke off during instillation...which we did exactly as the instructions indicated. Now we have a 11 holes drilled into the front of our house, some of which still have the broken metal pieces in...so that's awesome. Thankfully, we were able to return them for a full refund. But there are still a bunch of holes drilled in my house. I'm SO frustrated.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Take care in the installation... Be sure to follow the instructions found by unfolding the package's cardboard backing. 1. Be careful in step 4 when instructed to attach studs to the back of each number using small adjustable wrench or 1/4" end wrench - the stud is lightweight metal and easily shears off. Be gentle! 2. You'll need silicon caulk to anchor the studs into the holes you drill. It's better to overfill the holes with caulk and trim later than to try to add caulk to fill voids. 3. If float mounting, the finishing hole will be too big if you use a 1/4" drill bit. I suggest a 15/32" or 7/16" finish hole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Low Quality Attempted installation per instructions and BOTH posts snapped with very little pressure. Posts are not made of plastic! They'll snap right in half or even thirds. See the photos.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great looking numbers, cheap screws. We bought the black numbers and love the font and the 'floating' option, but several of the screws broke with only minimal pressure. We exchanged one number the first time it happened, but after the second and then the third we gave up. That meant filing 12 holes in our exterior wall with wood putty and then touching up with paint. A wasted hour or two with nothing to show for it. We returned them all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great looking number, poor mounting system These numbers looks great, have an attractive font, are die cast metal, and have a nice finish, look like they are powder coated. The mounting studs are pot metal and break very easily. Don't depend on the template supplied with number to guide you to drill your mounting holes in the correct places. Numbers won't be straight and even. After re-drilling holes to get numbers located correctly, I have unused holes in my steel siding around my house numbers that look terrible. I'm going to have to make a wooden plaque to cover the holes in my mangled steel siding, and mount the house numbers on the wooden plaque using a mounting method of my own design.
