I find it interesting to have received this review solicitation at this time. The product is a 3 Year Protection Plan and I just bought the AC unit last week so It'll be a year from now, after the manufacturer's warranty expires, before I'll be using the HD Plan. Bottom line is I have high expectations and hope I'm not disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was impressed with the quality of service I received... I was impressed with the quality of service I received from Home Depot. Our dehumidifier seemed to be working poorly, but the weather had been so cool and dry that I couldn't tell, for sure. By the time I was certain it was not working properly, the warranty had expired by two days. I used HD's customer service online chat feature to find out if I could still get ANY kind of warranty help, I was told very quickly that I could. Every time complications arose in the process, the customer service folks actually listened to me and understood my concern. Better still, they addressed every issue IMMEDIATELY and effortlessly. I received a credit in the full amount, the next day! I ordered the replacement dehumidifier from HD and purchased another extended warranty. I've also made HD my first stop for all large home improvement purchases, even though the competition is closer to home. (And, just as a bonus, the replacement dehumidifier was originally scheduled to arrive in 8 days; they got it to me in 2.) Easily the best customer service experience I've ever had with a large retailer.
