Why don't you offer a protection plan for the $269.00 Dehumidifier on the site. It would be much simpler than trying to figure out why it's not listed, asking a question here or making a phone call.

Protection plans only cover select items, however, the $269. dehumidifier Model # FAD704DWD on the website does have a Full 1-year parts & labor warranty, Limited 5-year sealed system parts warranty. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Home Depot Protection Plan am so disgusted with this plan. I have had a broken LG refrigerator for over a month. 2 technicians came out and they still needed another part. While waiting for the 3rd tech visit, they cancelled my appointment over 3 times..then a day before they were supposed to come again, i got an email that my appointment was cancelled with no explanation. I called A&E the tech company and they said they were still coming so I waited all morning - no show! Then I get a call that the part they needed to fix my refrigerator is not available and (they knew this since the last tech visit) yet they kept scheduling visits. They said I will get a replacement refrigerator. But when I called Home Depot they had no knowledge, (even though they gave me numerous approval numbers). I have been calling 3 different people (A&E tech, Assurion, and Home Depot) getting the run around. I ask for supervisors to call me back and they say I have to wait 2 business days!!!! Really? After waiting over a month being scheduled, rescheduled, given false information? Do not busy this plan, they do not live up to helping you!!!! September 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unacceptable Response/Repair My washer stopped working on June 10th and still has not been repaired as of July 19. I contacted the Home Depot Protection Plan on June 13th to request a repair. I spent over an hour on the phone with the representative trying to locate my plan information with no luck. I called back on June 14th and was able to get to the right person to find my info in Home Depot’s system. The first repair wasn't completed until July 2nd. The washer still didn't work correctly and I arranged for another repair visit on July 6th. That appointment was cancelled. The next available appointment wasn't for 2 weeks, on July 16th. That appointment was rescheduled for July 19th. The company that came out attempted a repair and after testing claimed that the washer would function properly. The washer is still not working and I will have to arrange for yet another repair visit requiring me to miss additional time from work. I have been without my washer for over 6 weeks and do not know when another repair will even be attempted. I have spent countless hours calling to arrange for service with home depot. Not too mention the time and expense of finding alternatives to wash our family's clothes. Everyone I have spoken with has been helpful, but the process and the amount of time it is taking to get repair service is unacceptable. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Execution of the Warranty by Home Depot/Assurion I purchased a Vinotemp (Thermoelectric) Wine Cooler. It started having a cooling and a fan noise issue after about a year. The factory warranty was only for 90 days so I was put in contact with Assurion Insurance. Assurion listened to the problem I was having and said they would call me back within 3 days. They needed to find a qualified repair technician in my area. In 2 days they called me back and said they didn't have a qualified technician anywhere in my Region so they issued me a Home Depot E-Card to buy another brand new one. I am extremely pleased with the new unit and still have the old one even though it only cools into the 55 deg. range on one side (which is fine for reds). How can it get any better than that? Also I bought another extended warranty for the new cooler. Assurion also took excellent care of me on a cell phone problem. Great Extended Warranty June 17, 2016
